I take it back. I don't want Durant. No need to fuck up the chemistry the Warriors have right now.

I took some sleeping pills, and they worked!

Is it worth watching this game recorded?

That's true.
That game was broadcast in morning China. About 12 M Chinese basketball fans watched it online on a fresh Monday morning during their working time. The last shot shocked the entire nation, on the other side of the world. It was stunning. Some folks got fainted and couldn't eat their lunch....

A lot of LeBron to Miami rumors bubbling up. I had to double check the dates of these articles, tweets and videos. He's been meeting with Wade again.

He loses himself already. A Decision 3.0? This makes GSW sweeping CAV in the finals becomes more possible.

Has anyone else noticed that ESPN box scores now show 3-point makes and misses? Steph is surely the reason why.

^ I can't tell if you're joking...?

I've been combing nba box scores since 1988 in newspapers... and since 1997 on espn.go.com

I can assure you 3 point makes and misses are well documented. The nba instituted the 3 point line in 1979. Nearly a decade before steph curry was even born...

I was really just commenting on how he makes the utterly ridiculous just seem normal these days. The amount of improvement in his game this year is hard to put into words.

C'mon man...you were commenting on it like it was something that not a lot of people have seen and knew about...when it reality, a shit-ton of people have seen him do it on highlights for the last two years.

But hey...maybe you've seen him do it in person. Then you could be really cool again.

not only may these be 2 of the best 3 teams in nba history, these are certainly the best two teams to play in the same season in nba history. This is the highest level of head to head basketball ever witnessed.

Curry and Thompson were off tonight, but great D by the Spurs to not give them anything easy. GSW has no one who can guard Aldridge especially if Diaw, West, or Duncan are on the court as Green can't guard them all. Barnes trying to guard Aldridge was a huge problem for GSW.

Western Conference finals will be epic this year.

What i saw didn't bode too well for SAS.

1) the level of hand checking they let SAS get away with was absurd for a regular season game and that won't be allowed @GS. They might get away with it @Sas in playoffs though. If i was spurs i woulda saved that for playoffs now you can bet Kerr is gonna send it to league office in advance. 10 FTA is frankly absurd given sas aggressiveness defensively.

2) Without bogut, Ezeli, and iggy the warriors were forced to play guys who arent good like varejao, mcadoo, barbosa, and speights A LOT. Most of those guys also cramp their spacing and left theme taking contested threes instead of typical open ones. They also played rush a ton. Most of these guys will be used sparingly in the WCF.

3) SAS will be on the same resting schedule in the playoffs. GSWE played the night before and had to fly. That's a huge difference. Worth at least a couple of buckets.

4) GSW is at their best going small in stretches. Especially in the 4th quarter when teams are tired and defensive rotations are slow. Going small the whole game wore them down too much and they got destroyed on the glass. And by Diaw on the block. Won't happen vs GSW regular rotation.

5) Curry and Klay 2-19 from threes. They were definitely well guarded but realistically these guys can shoot 3-19 from halfcourt usually. And i do mean, realistically. For them to hang around while missing everything and getting pounded on glass and not getting to the line is kinda scary.

6) The spurs have a turnover problem vs GSW and I don't see that going away.

I think the officiating will have a lot to do with the series but i think a healthy GSW will have a nice edge on SAS. The spurs big advantage on teams is kawhi but the warriors don't have a wing player like a lebron, durant, etc that he can neutralize to swing the series. Hes just not as big of an asset vs GSW as he is against other teams

I pretty much agree with everything you wrote. SAS played lights out defensively and the Warriors were in the game the entire time without key players like Iggy and Bogut, along with Curry and Klay having god awful shooting. It will be interesting to see how the next two games go, but even then, I figure the Spurs will rest their players unless they have a shot at the #1 seed in the west.

Yeah I don't expect to sas to tip their hand that much again. They'll lay down @GS. They might try to go undefeated at home though since it's never been done before

Hmmm... this actually makes sense for everyone involved.

Cavs trade Irving for Chris Paul
Cavs trade Love for Carmelo Anthony
Cavs sign FA Dwyane Wade

CP3, Wade, Melo, LBJ, Thompson.

With Delly, Shumpert, Smith,Frye off the bench.

They just need to sign a shooter and a backup big man to come off the bench.

That would be a hell of a defensive team as they'd be able to switch effectively on pick and rolls. They dont have quite enough perimeter shooting but they be able to run pick and rolls with almost any duo on the court. Also they would force teams to sit poor defenders as you simply can't asign a weak defender to james, melo, or wade.

They'd get so much penetration and so many free throws. They'd rebound well at every postion. When they throw Frye out there for thompson their spacing would improve and you'd have trouble even using a big man.

Would be an interesting team for sure

I'm going to guess that we've seen peak Steph.

I don't think he will have a higher ppg or make more 3s that this year. I just don't see how he can do it.

I look don't see them wining more games than this unless they get durant in the offseason.

Just an absolutely ridiculous season. I'd say it's the best in Nba history. Certainly the most impressive for sure. I hope they close it out undefeated

I think people drastically underrated their chance of breaking the wins record all season.

not sure what he could do to improve as a coach

he sat a bunch of fourth quarters and had a few bad shooting nights, so by virtue of him simply playing more, I'd say he could do either if he really wanted to.

he played a lot of mind games with players and tried to pit them against each other. there was a long thread on reddit with links to actual news sources discussing it a while back if you've got time to kill. at the time when they fired him, i was pissed and had no clue what was going, but after reading about the way he ran the show it makes sense why the Ws front office got rid of him.

wouldn't shock me. of course, that could've been a catalyst from them as well. i think Mike Singletary showing up Vernon Davis and mooning the team helped them get to 3 straight NFC championship games, even though Harbaugh gets 100% of the coaching/motivation credit. but the GSW players are obviously legit.
