Who is going to protect female students from sexual assaults with no campus police? Also campus is no longer going to be a "safe space" if we have an unarmed/nonexistent police force, removal of background checks on everybody, abolishing the list of people not allowed on campus, allowing anybody to enter and use any facility with no membership/dues/fees or even association to campus, and allow people to sleep in any location on campus. The place will be overrun by the homeless, criminals, etc with no way to remove them. That will be absolutely wonderful for student and employee safety! I'm sure it will remain a gun free zone as well.

tl;Dr version: guy was standing in the doorway to his home, unarmed, talking to police. One of the policemen shot him to death. The police then refused to even give up the name of the police officer that fired the shots until they were forced to.
