Scott Wood had 25.
DeMarcus Cousins had 6 points and 10 boards.

John Wall must be coming here... because that is some NC State shit...
Quote : | "It ended this way: Falcons senior Blake Smith hit a 3-point tying shot from the corner with 14.3 seconds left. Wall dribbled off his foot trying to take a championship-winning attempt.
That left 2.7 seconds and a half-court out of bounds play for United Faith." |

Pirate basketball player scouting report
Strengths deception stealing (particularly with the hook ripping the ball out of the opposing player's hands) trash talking (his old world vocabulary will have opposing players out of their game mentally b/c they are too busy figuring out what the pirate just said) shooting (he literally brings a gun on the court with him)
Weaknesses can't go left (hook impales ball when switching dribble hand) vision (eye patch limits peripheral vision) lateral quickness (peg leg slows him down) concentration (too concerned with finding booty; does not take instructions well when dance team is performing) 3/2/2009 5:53:09 PM |

lots of basketball photographs taken of fast moving action can look awkward, and somtimes gay
that said, i'll take a gay looking game photo if we win the game
here's an example of a photo that looks gay just because thats how it is sometimes when you photograph live action http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2113/2183300273_165b34f728.jpg?v=0
here's another http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2324/2183298879_52dec5bd69.jpg?v=0
ps: if we don't get the guy, or if we do and he is a stiff, i will happily agree about how gay he is

Yeah, just like Patty Mills. He sucks because he turned down the advancements of Wake Forest and Alabama among others.
Maybe this kid feels more comfortable at those other schools. I see Saint Mary's on the list, so maybe he likes the idea that Randy Bennett has coached multiple Aussie kids before from AIS? Maybe he is friends with Patty Mills and has an assurance that he comes back for a year?
It's dumb to say he must suck because he doesn't want to play in the ACC. Kids, especially foreign kids, go to schools for other reasons than the conference itself. Shit, Brandon Costner turned down Kansas and UCLA offers to come to State. Is he an idiot?

not the same thing Nym...Brandon came here to play in the ACC none of the schools on the aussie's list are in the ACC, P-10 or Big 12 (all three are big time conferences)
IMO if a really talented player is getting offers from legit conferences and they turn them down then they must be scared to play against real competition.
nothing wrong with going to any of those schools but if i were a 7 footer with big time offers i would go to a big time program. if i didnt care about playing against the best night in and night out i would go to Saint Mary's.

I disagree still, but that isn't what you originally said. You said "he must suck." That's why I even brought up Patty Mills. That kid is nasty. I have NO interest in Saint Mary's basketball but I was going to make a concerted effort to get to campus one night just to watch him. I can't say that about many players in the country...

honestly, why would wall NOT go to memphis? he'll play a year in a joke conference so he can pad his stats, get drafted top 5, and cash his check. he won't get the freedom anywhere else that he'd get at memphis. not a knock on you guys at all, just how i see it 3/3/2009 8:44:23 PM |

he could do whatever the fuck he wanted on this team. Sid's already shown that if he gets a star player, he has no problem featuring them for 75% of the offense. 3/3/2009 8:49:34 PM |

yeah but he also gets a guaranteed minimum of a 2 seed in the tournament. i mean look at tyreke evans, he'll be a top 5 pick and he'll probably be NROY playing that cake schedule 3/3/2009 9:08:37 PM |

i can definitely see how a highly touted player would like memphis.
nba facilities, "cool" proven coach, relaxed academic standards (admission and on campus), easy conference, strong OOC schedule, success in ncaa tournament, success sending players to the nba.
that being said i think we also have a lot to offer.
top notch arena/facilities (gg fowler! ), young coach with legitimate nba ties, nba playstyle, great tradition, tobacco road/ACC mystique, passionate fans, etc.
regardless of where wall/cousins end up they are going to contribute immediately, put up nice numbers (and even if they don't they will show nba scouts their "potential") and end up being lottery picks. basically no matter where they go the end result is going to be the same. what it comes down to is finding the place they feel the most comfortable. (which is hopefully raleigh) 3/3/2009 11:04:56 PM |

I didn't read the rest of the responses, but I just wanted to say *cough*Memphis*cough*.
I mean they have a short history of getting guys to the league, but they're not a legit program by any stretch of the imagination. Unless grades are an issue, players who go there don't want competition night in and night out.3/3/2009 11:31:37 PM |

^Yes. I can't believe he'd even consider leaving Raleigh and all his friends. And what about his mother? How could he leave his mother behind? How could he choose another school over her beloved Wolfpack? What kind of son would do such a thing to their mother? And then there's the bond that he's already formed with the team, the coaches, and the fans. Watching the games with state-commit Leslie, going back to the locker room to celebrate after a win, throwing the wolfpack sign to the crowd at an open practice? I find it hard to beleive that he would dismiss that bond.
Please do the right thing John. Everyone is counting on you.
