help me....WR3 spot:
I'm starting Roddy and Colston
I need help deciding between Danny A. (return yards are highly rewarded) and Joe Webb (listed as QB/WR)
^ if I were you, I'd hurry up and pick up Kevin Ogletree, Steve Smith (NYG) and Deon Butler

^^ I'd go with the top 3 WRs as well. Just no telling what Webb will be able to do in his first game. He may fall in love with one of either Rice or Harvin, but it is just too risky when you've got three other solid options.
I'd play Stewart as he matchup is great and he's been playing well. 12/19/2010 12:11:30 PM |

I think you've got it right Drod. I could see Rice having a nice game, but the Vikings are a mess, the Bears defense is strong, and the weather is not favorable. I would start Jackson, Britt, and Boldin.
Garrard (vs Colts), Collins (vs Texans), or Cutler (vs Vikes)???? 12/19/2010 12:13:18 PM |

I'm a little concerned about his health, so I'm going back and forth between him and Collins. I don't want to put my playoff chances on Cutler's shoulders in bad weather even though he has had alot of success against the vikings.

bad weather being the key. plus, he will spend a lot of time on his ass tomorrow. the Bears' O-line sucks balls and the Vikings' halfway decent D-Line will be in Jay's face the entire game. 12/19/2010 12:23:09 PM |

I hope he doesn't, but I could definitely see it happening (guy I'm playin in the semi-finals is starting him over Flacco)

Quote : | "So I've been riding my receiving corps most of the year and now they are all healthy but they have QB problems. Rodgers is out for Jennings, Tebow is starting for Lloyd, and Cassel is questionable for Bowe. Do I sit any of those for either: J. Best, T. Choice, J. Knox (have to start 2 WR and 1 RB/WR)?
I'm kicking myself for trading away most of my depth for S. Jackson. However having a 1-2 of Turner and Jackson isn't too bad.
Best available RB/WR FA: Sims-Walker, Gibson, Armstrong, Obomanu, Starks, Brandon Jackson, and D. Brown" |

question: will they have point adjustments done by tomorrow evening? It looks like I am going to be going to bed with a .82 lead. My opponent is done after this game (had Green Ellis and Shane Graham), and I can play either Johnny Knox or Sidney Rice tomorrow (have both on my roster and have one WR spot still available to play). If I can be sure I have it won right now, I will probably bench both the other guys (I lost a game before like this because a guy had a fumble on the first play and was hurt). I just don't want to play an empty spot, and then later find out that Owen Daniels had another catch or something to get him ahead. Normally I wouldn't sweat it, but the weather is supposed to be so crappy tomorrow night, and Knox had negative points just last week. UGH!!!
Is there an official stats page i could see? so I can compare that to what is going on with yahoo? 12/19/2010 11:26:03 PM |

^^^ In the exact same boat. I'm up 3 and will win if there are no point adjustments. I can start Knox, Earl Bennett, Joe Webb, or nobody. I don't like the idea of starting nobody in case there are adjustments, but I don't want Joe Webb to log me -5. Who has the least likely chance to shit the bed in a PPR league? Have Knox penciled in. I figure it will be really difficult for a WR to go deep into the negative in a PPR league.

I pulled Floyd out because of the injury, and plugged Boldin in...didn't make much of a difference, haha. At least Jennings managed to get his and Boss made up for not having Gates.
With my team's season coming to an end in the semifinals, I'd like to personally thank Josh Freeman(QB2) and BJE "The Lawfirm"(RB1, haha) for their efforts down the stretch haha. 12/20/2010 8:42:13 AM |

I would play Knox. Last week was a fluke. Losing a fumble and getting < 20 yards receiving might happen once or twice in a player's career. He's been good for 50+ yards most weeks...play him so you have a cushion for any corrections. 12/20/2010 11:36:14 AM |

Vick pretty much sealed my championship spot from the day I grabbed him as a FA. I beat the guy I'm up against early in the season, but since then he's dominated every single matchup including our rematch. It'll be tough. 12/20/2010 1:43:19 PM |

^^ Yea I literally missed grabbing him by MINUTES in my league. I was taking my time and one minute he was there and the next he was gone ha.
What does everyone think of picking up Tebow in my league for next week vs. Houston. I have had Kyle Orton as my starter all season which worked out great until the last few weeks. 2 of my 3 losses in the regular season came in the last 2 weeks with Orton being crappy/hurt and no solid backup. (finished 3rd reg season this year out of 10)
I picked up Flacco for this past weekend and it actually worked out well but I'm looking at Denver vs. Houston next week and considering dropping Tomlinson who I haven't been starting anyway to pick up Tebow. Houston is of course last in the league in passing defense so I feel that Tebow will have a pretty good game regardless of being fairly unproven in the NFL so far. If Tebow doesn't start I'll just pull Orton off my bench.
Thoughts? 12/20/2010 2:53:24 PM |

With the Broncos conservative play calling as of late, I wouldn't use any Bronco QB. Next year yeah, look to pick him up in the late rounds as a good QB2

Well look at it this way. It's not like they're RBs, the chances of a WR fumbling are not as great as they are typically in the open, and just because the QB sucks doesn't imply anything. Remember all you need is for Knox or Rice to get ONE catch for 10 yards, just to prevent losing from stat correction. Chances are either of them will get a catch or two before breaking their ankles. If Knox returns at ALL you'll want to steer clear of him as I wouldn't play anyone that has a chance to be a kick returner tonight.
I'm winning by 3 points and have Bears D/ST, but I'm benching them because my league has negative points for D/ST
