pg 72!

back to bras, i have one left of 3 cotton body by VS bras from 5+ years ago. the rest broke (the underwire). i LOVE this bra and refuse to let go until it breaks. it is definitely in terrible shape.

ever since this particular bra, VS changed their elastic to this thin shit that doesn't last more than 5-6 months before it has no stretch. it also causes a horrible reaction to my skin and it turns red, itches, and starts to come off in sheets. only VS bras do this. i've emailed them to let them know (not that i wanted discounts or compensation, just wanted to let them in case it wasn't just me), they said they wanted to talk to me on the phone, never called. i emailed back a month or so later and they said they'd try at a different time during the day (although they had my cell phone, i told them to call it, and neither my house phone or cell had missed calls from them). they promised to call. never did. really shitty of them imo. i didn't ask them to call first.

the problem is that i am having an extremely hard time finding something else that fits well. i really like cotton and no padding. my old VS cotton one is double lined though. i like that as well. i haven't seen that in anything else yet. i've checked belk, vs, kohls, macys. no luck. HALP

this subject was just on my mind this morning. Last week, I had put off washing my hair by an extra 3 days due to a combination of sleeping in, and planning ahead (i.e., job interview. Wait til day of to wash hair for maximum WOW hair ).

Monday, 3/16 is when I last washed my hair. I just did it today. I could have gone til Tuesday without washing it before it was unacceptable. It was getting a little greasy, but it was the equivalent of my old Day 2 hair.

I've started washing my hair every other day unless its nasty from the gym. Mainly b.c i toss my hair up for work b/c its easy and I can sleep longer.

I'll have to see how it all pans out in the end.

dillards has the best bras, imo

i dont even go into VS... POS and overpriced and they dont make anything that even beings to support me AND be comfortable

dillards carries a line called whimsy.. i think

anyway i just did a google search and i guess its under the big brand "lunaire"

http://www.dillards.com/endeca/EndecaStartServlet?N=1000480+2010226

they seemed to have a better selection in-store, as i wouldn't wear a lot of the stuff in the search but their goal is "prettier bras in bigger sizes" which is pretty much an answer to my prayers for the last 15 years of my life

the whimsy line within lunaire has the cutest bras for big booby support-- in store selection is best in my experience

I've got a question... I'm wearing a bright yellow dress to my sisters wedding- going to be sole bride's maid. What color shoes should I wear? Wedding in indoors, in april.

That really depends on a few things. First, what does the bride like? Second, can you describe your dress a little more, or post a picture? i.e, long, short, strapless, material, etc. Also, what color are the flowers. If you don't want to try and pull off yellow shoes (which could look nice), but the flowers are a pink, or a red, that might work. I've seen a really awesome bright yellow dress paired with red shoes that looked amazing.

You could always try white shoes. That way you won't have to buy yellow shoes that you probably won't wear again.

On the topic of bras... I purchased my first Aerie bra on Thursday. It's from their new 'Emma' line of air pushup bras. I was intent on buying a Katie (most like what I already wear), but due to the $20 sale throughout the store last Thursday and the $10 scratch off card, I figured for $10 it was worth trying something new. Everyone in the store was buying them. I'm not usually an extra pushup kind of girl-- but this thing is amazing. Also, their other bras seem to fit well. I have been a VS Pink supporter for the past few years, but LOATHE the mismatched straps (no, pink polka dots do not match everything)! My only qualm is that their bras with lace straps are itchy... something they definitely need to improve.

I also need shoe color and style advice for my bridesmaids. The dress is red, knee length, and flowy. One major stipulation on the shoe is that it must have a large heel or be a wedge due to the fact that we're having an outdoor ceremony. I haven't been able to find a good red shoe that matches well, and my bmaids are thinking silver-- but I don't think that goes at all! White will clash with my ivory dress (and would look silly), and they think black will be too dark. I'd love to find a pretty print shoe... but everything I have found is a stiletto heel or flat. Do you all have any ideas??

without knowing how formal the bm dresses are

VS online has some wedge shoes

http://www2.victoriassecret.com/collection/?cgname=OSSHUWDGZZZ&cgnbr=OSSHUWDGZZZ&rfnbr=5859

they seem to be mostly cork or that rope style on the wedge

i got some cute wedges on sale last season at aldo.. maybe look there?

to clarify... by large heel do you mean a platform bc its outdoor? otherwise i dont see why a HIGH heel is needed for outdoor.. i get wedge but can you clarify on that "large" heel part?

& post a pic of the dress!

A strappier silver shoe would look nice with a red dress, like this one but with a bigger heel:

Or you could do a copper/gold metallic shoe. This one is a neutral color and doesn't look too "shiny" if that's what you're trying to avoid.

I also like these:

so ive been trying to sleep since 11 pm and my feet hurt too bad from standing on concrete all day. i just ordered some shoes from zappos in hopes one of them will be the magic bullet to my foot pain.

my selection has been rather limited by the fact that I wear a 12 W to WW- i was too hesitant to order any of the fancier womens dansko clogs.

upon closer inspection, the huraches i ordered are suspiciously close to some that were very comfortable in the footbed, but rubbed my heel raw so they might be the first back on the UPS truck

i think my husband will kill me if i keep them all

has anyone had zappos tell them their shoes were too worn to return? I want to take these to work and try them out before I commit.

Have you tried orthotics or foot exercises? Those seem to help me the most. I have really flat feet, don't know what's up with yours.

well, i think orthotics are going to be my next step if none of these shoes work. foot pain so bad i cant sleep at night is just not acceptable, especially when i have to work 6 days in a row or more.

what kind of foot exercises are you doing? i think my feet are rather flat, and i tend to walk on the outside edge instead of holding them flat (i was slew-foot as a kid, guess things just aren't quite right down there).

My foot pain is pretty severely impacting my exercise routine as well, I only got to the gym once last week which wasn't entirely to do with me working during most of their open hours. I did cheat and wear my best sneakers to work one day and my feet hurt just as bad as all the other shoes i've tried (but i only have 4 other pairs here).

my current job isn't paying me very much at all, but i just don't want to go back to being unemployed and constantly bored. this month has gone by so much faster than the last 5. I am just ready to quit hurting.

Have you tried any post-market insoles? At your size, it'd prob be best to shop for a design that won't kill you (i.e., no pointy toes or short vamps) then try to add something to the inside to help at impact points when/where you step.

If I had to venture a guess, I'd say pair #3 might work best for you.

Dr. Scholl's carries a pretty extensive line of products that, by all accounts, work.

hahah, i am definitely gellin when i go to work. there is definitely a difference when i wear them, but it isnt enough. after more than 4 hours my arches, ankles and front of my foot are seriously sore. later my foot really hurts in the middle. its hard to describe, but its something around the bones of the foot that just aches. anyway, i have kind of crappy insurance right now and would have to pay all of the podiatrist/orthotics fees out of pocket initially, but it will be my next step if the danskos dont fit or improve things. upon reflection, i was having foot and ankle pain before i started this job, which was starting to interfere with my gym sessions.

anybody got a doctor to recommend?

go to foot solutions in briar creek

an orthotic is going to be about 270 bucks

many insurance programs dont cover orthotics anyway

their insoles are better than nothing if you cant afford the orthotic

they are only about 50 bucks

I'm usually standing up in a lab all day, and until I found a good pair of Merrell clogs, my feet hurt a lot. They're a little on the expensive side, but well worth it.

i rotate between danskos and a couple of pairs of sneakers with either linco inserts or the foot solutions inserts.

the inserts are chosen based on how i distribute my weight on their little pressure sensor computer thingy.

ive probably spent a small fortune on shoes over the last 3 years trying to find shoes that dont hurt my feet.

i use a rotation so that they dont wear out as fast.

i have heard good things about z-coils and mbts, but holy fuck they are expensive!

what shoes would you wear with this dress? I was wanting to do sandals, but I dunno...then I thought slides, but I'm not the biggest fan of them (though I found this pair http://www.aldoshoes.com/ca-eng/women/shoes/career/73424314-dobine/28 and I liked them a lot and they were comfy)

oh, and I like the t strap idea! I'll see how that works. I picked out a gladiator sandal tonight, but he did not like them

I kinda think the green ones work. I mean, the straps and whatnot are pretty thin, so it'll be like walking barefoot with a light splash of green decoration on your tootsies.

What part of town do you live in?

I tan at a couple places depending on what I'm in the mood for. Do not buy the lotions ever. You can get them 75 percent cheaper online. If we all band together and stop buying their lotions, maybe they'll stop harassing us every time we wanna get our tan on.
