Mgr #1: yes, blah blah blah. I think we've done it that way since '93...or before you were born...har har har
Yankee Director: you know I was just thinking he looks young enough to be my daughter's age and she's only 26
Mgr #2: yeah, you've got to be what like 25-26?
Me: something like that
Mgr #1: No he's gotta be way younger than that
Mgr #2: maybe this is part of some freshman internship :p
Yankee Director: why are they sending an intern to waste our time
Me: i'm not an intern
Mgr #2: we're used to consultants having a little more experience is all
Me: ...so blah blah blah blah and blah blah
Mgr#2: well shit. this kid might his stuff.
Yankee Director: must be Googling under the table

^^Next year your Christmas gift will be a pink slip, sounds like. ------ For the last, oh, four hours they have been hammering, drilling, and sawing on concrete and cinder block in the room directly above my office. It was fucking annoying when it started with primarily hammering. Now they've got the drill running almost constantly with loud hammering going on too. Right. Above. My. Fucking. Head.
Someone is about to take a drill through the temple if this keeps going on. 12/16/2011 12:39:16 PM |

a girl i know works in an office with a Jehovah's Witness, so they can't have birthday parties or holiday celebrations because it is against the JW's religion to participate in celebrations. They instead have to call them "luncheons" so the JW can participate.

Yeah that's the part that really pisses me off. I'm sure God will say that you using a language loophole to disobey his word is going to go over well when you meet Him If you're going to practice a religion that has rules like that, just fucking follow them the way they were intended. 12/16/2011 1:16:03 PM |

The damn Microsoft Sync program is shitting the bed and causing me to lose all sorts of files and documents. The fucking consulting application we use doesn't work, and the IT consultant of course isn't answering his phone or responding to service tickets.
Looking up the fix on Microsoft Support myself, I have to delete some corrupted files, but some of them look important and I don't want to screw up the computer by deleting, say, the Desktop config file. Oh, and by the way I have to lose all of the files that haven't been synchronized ...not that I can get to them now anyway 12/19/2011 9:25:44 AM |

And? Cell phones, open wireless, etc.
I agree it's dumb to send it and expect people to easily see it, however, it is not outlandish to think people have other ways to send an email about a problem.
So beyond that, those that have not seen it have surely called by now if they were that worried about it. 12/19/2011 12:44:34 PM |

Yesterday as I'm leaving work, I get to my car and there is a nice brand new bumper sticker on my car!!! ( )
i figured it was a kid (i work at a school) who just wanted to get rid of it... nope... checked my email this morning and one of the heads of one of our programs had sent an email saying "you will find a surprise in the parking lot! Merry Christmas!!"
UGH.
(luckily after investigating i found out it was just one of the magnet ones, but) DON'T FUCKING PUT SHIT ON MY CAR. I had every intention this morning (before i saw the email) to get the school resource officer to check the video and find out what kid did it. 12/20/2011 7:43:53 AM |

it was a school bumper sticker. nothing offensive. Some places i've been do if you mess with a person's car you get shot. I'm not super particular about my car, but don't put shit on it. I hate bumper stickers in general. i've seen those magnets scratch the paint on many cars if there is the slightest bit of dirt between them and the car.
granted, i was a lot more pissed before i realized it was a magnet. 12/20/2011 8:00:41 AM |

The guy who sits about 4 feet away from me (we share a rather large cube area) has been hacking, coughing, sneezing, sniffling, and generally sounding miserable all day yesterday, and despite my fervent hopes, is still here today. When you're that sick, for God's sakes, STAY HOME. I have to sit 4 feet away and breathe in his germs all day. If I'm sick at Christmas because of this (a strong possibility at this point) I'm going to be seriously pissed. 12/21/2011 9:09:50 AM |
