what section of the book do you think they are in? They are pulling scenes from books 3,4 and 5 right now, so there isnt a "section" that they are in. There is plenty of action where they should be in book 3 after the red wedding, but they are barely touching that stuff

True, but we all know the main action is being saved for the last few episodes. They are picking up all the story line crumbs. They should add in a khaleesi nude scene.

I remember her getting out of the tub scene in one of the early seasons, girl is fine.

Considering they'll probably overtake the books, it makes sense to fork the story lines. This will encourage book sales too. Douglas Adams intentionally had hhgg be different in its many forms to tell multiple slightly different stories.

at the beginning of the series Jon Arryn is looking into Robert Baratheon's true and bastard heirs and is suddenly poisoned, so there's that. It could have been foreshadowing that he was onto something with Robin. Also, Robin is crazy and they tend to portray inbreeding as the cause of that in the show, so maybe that has something to do with it also.

Jon Arryn was old as balls too. Remember Ned & Robert grew up under his care when they were younger. Old people make weak children. Plus he's treated like a baby so that probably doesn't help. I don't know what implies that Robin is Littlefinger's son. He was with the Tullys a long time ago. But, that's just my interpretation.

I'd love a thread where we can talk about the differences, but not in a way that spoils it for the show watchers.

Like, for example, when Tyrion goes into battle and comes out with a scar - somebody could say "in the book he loses his nose and is generally more disfigured" to which I'd be like "huh. interesting".

Or when Daario first appears they could be like "oh that dude has blue hair and beards and shit in the books".

Just interesting facts that don't affect the storyline

Well was Robin conceived in Kings Landing? If not I withdraw my comment. If so, it clear that Lysa and Littlefinger have been banging for awhile, she had no love for Jon, and as you say Jon was old and could have been sterile. AlsolLysa seems to keep Robin away from all men but Littlefinger.

This is purely guess work on my part though.

I also wonder if Lysa and Robin will soon meet an unfortunate end, leaving Littlefinger Lord of the Vale and free to marry Sansa.

I don't think you're "wrong" but source data might change your view. Having been judged wrong by a number of English teachers myself, I'd challenge any claim not expressively made by an author.
