^ I couldn't either.

It's so sad to be a woman and be unable to wear heels 90% of the time.

I have a pair of heels that I LOVE but they have 4.5 inch heels and I have no where to wear them.

Plus it's getting out of season for them now, so I'll have to wait till next winter.

I bought the cutest red shoes last summer for a special occasion. Didn't realize I was going to be walking well over a mile through wet grass and pot hole filled gravel/asphalt. I ended up aerating the fields for free. Simply put-- I felt like a complete idiot.
So, now I'm trying to be very careful about what to wear for my outdoor wedding. Definitely a very large heel (i.e. not stiletto) or wedge... in the 2-3 inch range MAX. If anyone comes across something online, please post them here! Currently looking at ivory, silver, & red as possibilities. It can be crazy, but preferably without a casual looking cork or woven heel.

I think I'm gonna plan on getting married barefoot, or in rainbows....when or if I ever get married...screw trying to walk down the aisle on uncomfortable heels and stand there trying not to pass out...hell I'll probably tell my bridesmaids to go barefoot too.

I was going to go with Rainbows, but I don't want to cut off that much of my dress Also, in a good 2 - 3 inch heel I can look him in the eyes instead of having to look up I will probably change after the ceremony, though. Really depends on what I find.

i kinda missed the convo but i love colored shoes with a black dress. you can add a lot to the outfit by wearing colored heels but then you have to be careful about jewelry. but i like colored shoes with a black dress as like the big accent or whatever. if you wear a black dress and subtle jewelry then you can get away with some REALLY amazing shoes. that is the best thing about the little black dress

[Edited on March 29, 2009 at 11:56 PM. Reason : black/white or any neutral dress.]

hey guys, on a whim I bought some henna-based hair dye at the health food store. as a longtime wannabe redhead, the color looks fantastic and the dye was much less toxic than usual. unfortunately it washes out after a few weeks.

^pretty!!

How many washes does it take, and did you fade back to your normal color?

I've been thinking about doing something like that to my hair for awhile now but I kind of like that I'm back to my official natural color too

The pants are already dragging on the ground on the model. Hopefully you're not walking around on a rainy day in these.

I just got this skirt and I'm dying to find some shoes to go with it. I can't do sandals because I have pale, fat legs so I need a little heel boost. I love the grey peep toe wedges they have at BR, but I don't want to spend that much for shoes for one outfit.

I'm also just thinking about finding a good pair of beige heels to wear with all of my skirts, to make my legs look longer. Having skin that won't tan at all is a pain in the ass.

Do beige heels look good with your pale skin? I am also super pale, and I think I look worse with light colored shoes. It kind of accentuates the paleness.

I've been reading lately that wearing shoes that are similar color to your legs / tights makes your legs look longer, but I haven't tested it out. I'm usually a black or red shoe kinda girl.

^^Jergens "Natural Glow" Daily Moisturizer is a good, but very gradual tanner. You start with the bottle closest to your skin color, and once you're through with that bottle, you go to the next higher up. Here's the promo from the website:
Quote :
"Moisturize into an invigorated glow. JergensĀ® natural glow Revitalizing Daily Moisturizer delivers fabulous natural-looking color gradually that lasts twice as long as the leading lotion sunless tanner and infuses your skin with a blend of effective moisturizers, antioxidants and Vitamin E to keep it looking healthy.

Designed specifically for Fair, Medium and Medium/Tan skin tones, you'll reach your optimum intensity of color after about one week of daily use. Continue to use it daily to maintain your healthy glow."

It won't give you the super-bronzed look, but you will look like you have a nice, natural tan.

I used the product for the first time yesterday, so I don't know exactly how long washing out will take. However the dye is semi-permanent, so can't take longer than a few weeks. But the dye was reasonably priced and didn't appear to damage my hair like chemical dyes do, so I wouldn't mind reapplying it regularly.

Is your hair brown? lol I've never seen it "natural." Henna won't lighten hair, but it adds a nice red sheen to dark hair. The product was called Surya Henna cream, it comes in several colors and has a nice color chart on the side. I was nervous that it would look weird or brassy, but I have to say it's my favorite dye I've ever used and this is coming from a red-dye junkie. I love the color and it didn't fry my hair, what more could I ask. also if you have short hair, the tube can be saved for later unlike chemical dyes.

my husband had a bunch of amazon gift certificates that are about to expire, and he still has like 60 bucks left after he got done, so I was thinking about getting a ring.

red chalcedony

aquamarine

which one is cuter? the 2nd one is 33 bucks more but might be worth it, i dunno.

I ended up with these and these (but in bone, which is no longer on the site) instead. Not the wedges I wanted, but still, two pairs for the price of the one pair I had my eye on.

+1 on the vajayjay dress comment.

light in the box is great for one thing. Whenever the bf starts with the "OMG, we should get married" stuff I go find some ugly dress on that site and claim I am gonna wear that, usually quiets him for a couple weeks.

Has anyone tried that Smooth Away

I'm looking for something to use this summer instead of shaving, cause the showers in the cabins make it very hard to shave.
