With most students gone, Parking Services closed my regular parking lot, so now I have to park in BFE near the stadium, and for the past 2 days they say you have to be out of that lot by 5pm for Bball games, towing enforced. WTF? I work until 6 every day, and you took my other lot; luckily my boss said they'd pay for the ticket/towing fee if I got one.

^yeah. They closed the green zone lots on Duke University/Chapel Drive, and 2 lots on Towerview fill up early, so I'm on Bassett near Wade/Cameron. This shit is bad enough in January/Feb/March with all the Mens' BBall crap, but luckily the gated lots are open next week.

I will say I've never actually seen them tow anyone on a weekday when there's a bball game. That's the lot I park in as well. It's kind of bs they closed the other green zone lots this week. Why not wait to close them until the same time you open up the other lots?

^wolfpackgrrr, last spring, I got a ticket for $100 "special event violation" for a Duke/ACC bball game, with the ticket time stamped for 5:13pm. I fought it, got written confirmation from supervisors that I was working on a project and couldn't leave, and they cleared it. I've been at Duke almost 3 years, and have had a long standing hate-hate relationship with the parking office, particularly Chuck Landis. Parking outside gridlines (everyone does, too), late getting out of work on special events nights, parking by CHapel on Duke business, so I've learned to take pics of everything (cars in same situation with no tix, signs, etc) and appeal everything. I win more often than I lose, and what I can't clear, my boss lets me come in late to work "to even out the expense."

I hate people who author documents and submit them to be the company standard but have no idea how to use styles or any standardized formatting.

If yall knew what the hell you were doing when i needed to update the look of a document i could just edit styles to match new company standards and be done with it... but nope. you fuckers copied and pasted from 11 different documents so the styles are all jumbled up so i have to go through and set it up correctly before i can even begin to edit the content i needed to.

^oh my god. that was my life a few years ago. I was a temp helping to load documents into a database but all the documents would have to be put into the new template first and it was crazy how people had screwed up all the formatting and styles for each document.

Took a dump in the bathroom which has a toilet that was recently fixed (flush chain broke, simple fix). Flush the toilet and nothing happens; the water had been turned off. Turn on the water, it starts filling the water tank...then the water starts hammering very, very loudly and got worse and worse. Eventually turned the water off and was left with an unflushed toilet.

God damn it.

One of my mangers loves the fact that he is now a manager, and will say "Can you please come in my office for a moment" Only to show me an email that he could have forwarded.

Today his clients are dropping the ball (because of him) so he's like "can you email me a list of everyone that needs to change their orders" when it would be way quicker for him to just pull the report than for me to pull it, copy and past the advertiser names, then email it to him.

And he just bounced to hit the gym when all his accounts are going haywire.
