haha, that's exactly what i did! well...friday night was a sleep over at my place with just the bridesmaids (which was great b/c my two cousins didn't know everyone and they got to know everyone better), but saturday we just went out in raleigh. dinner with a lot of girls, but then most left and it was just me and my bridesmaids again out on the town. it was a GREAT bachelorette party

and suck for a buck was sooo much fun. it's really entertaining for you and everyone in the group. it was a great way to interact with folks w/o doing all the dare stuff. way more women were in to it than men, and i made like ~$40! some men were actually scared to eat candy off my shirt

She is a cunt.

I know this is the lounge, but my response is completely serious. Inexcusable behavior.

I'd probably tell her to send the gift back to me and go ahead and take my number out of her cell phone. That really is a cunty move on her part.

Random question, how do you all feel about getting hair extensions for the wedding? I have been trying desperately to grow my hair out for my wedding because of the style I want. But its less than a month and a half away and odds are not looking good. Ideas?

One of my gfs got them for hers. Her only prob was when her hairstylist made her hair too dark the week before the wedding, so her hair no longer matched her extensions. Just be careful about hair dye and matching, and you'll be fine.

Thanks ladies!!! Any ideas on how much they could cost and where I would need to go to find some good ones? Or is that something my stylist should be able to help me with?

My gfs like Jessica Simpson hair extensions, which you can find at Ulta and similar beauty supply stores.

I went to David's Bridal and looked for dresses for my October wedding. Originally she wanted me to wear burnt orange, but burnt orange is on backorder so I'm going with clover instead. She also picked out a strapless dress but I didn't feel comfortable in it so we picked this one instead.

and it has pockets!!!

They only had one dress in the entire store in the clover color and I wanted to try on a clover dress to make sure it matched the shoes.

Coincidentally, I fell in love with the clover dress and I think I'm going to wear it in Samwise16's wedding except probably in this kelly color.

and it also has pockets!!!

The bridesmaids in our wedding are wearing the second dress (in lapis). They loved it when they went to try it on, especially the pockets! There is a similar dress in that style but it doesn't have pockets.

I wish I could see the pics at work. My bridesmaids dresses are in lapis and have pockets. I think the color really looks good on any skin tone. 44 more days

38 days to go and I always have questions...

So, when meeting with the florist I didn't really think of my stepgrandparents (stepmother's mom, dad, and stepmom) and therefore, didn't put them down for corsages/boutonnieres. Now that I think about it, I probably should include them in the whole processional thing and announcements at the reception. Do I need to order them corsages/boutonnieres? It will be an additional $50...and I know $50 is nothing in the grand scheme of things, but we're already over budget.

Also...I just read that stepgrandmothers should be seated after parental grandparents, but doesn't it make more sense to seat them first? I plan to have my stepmom seated before my mom (obviously), so I thought it would flow better with stepgrandmothers first. What do you guys think?

The biological grandparents get seated first because they are "more important" than the step-grandparents. Same reason your mother would get seated before your step-mother.

As far as the flowers go, if you ordered them for everyone else you should probably order them for the steps as well unless you don't care if they somehow feel snubbed.

We have sent out our invitations and currently have 75 Yes's and 0 No's.

The same people that did Joie's wedding video will be doing ours. They're awesome and longtime friends.

I'm still in the process of finding groomsmen gifts. I think I've decided on Beer of the Month club for a couple months and a beer stein.

Um...I think that's about it.

Oh, need to figure out transportation and beer at the reception.

If your venue will allow it, order kegs from a local brewery. That saved us a fortune.

That's what the wife came up with. We were hoping for something local though.

I wanted to do kegs of a local brewery, however they don't allow kegs. We will probably do some Spaten and a light beer. We really liked Spaten after going to Oktoberfest and the venue we're using let's us purchase beer wherever we find it, and Spaten is on sale at Costco.

The problem with Goodwill is that not everyone who goes to Goodwill is really in need. The other problem is that a lot of their clothes end up in a shredder.

i wanna see the video Wadhead1!!!

and about the order of grandmothers and the like.....i did everything ass backwards
my planner was all about it but when i told her why she liked it
(my mom was seated last because my dad walked her down the aisle-they didnt have a wedding...and she was last to leave because my brother escorted her back and i my dad )

think about it, i'm sure you know what YOU want to do and can make it work wonderfully!
