so is he reading from the detective's report that he filed while still investigating? Sounds like the detective put his theories of what happened into the report based on little to no evidence. Stating that the altercation took place in the downstairs/garage. Was there any evidence of an altercation other than the very circumstancial evidence of the floors being cleaned?

i think they are laying the foundation for an appeal by showing that CPD made stuff up in their working files and then looked for evidence to prove it.
