Believe it or not back when I was in EE I had this exact idea and even started working through the basic math and geometry of it, I should probably dig out my old notebook and folders I kept all my notes and calculations in. I dropped the ball (ha!) when I switched to NE but it is freaking awesome to see someone fleshing it out. Badass.

well, things I could fix... I obviously couldn't fix that, or a mis-eaten ice cream bar or candy bar...
I would question someone who did those things though 10/3/2012 3:20:36 PM |

Pencils wouldn't bother me. Easily sortable, but why are they all out?
The pizza wouldn't bother me unless I was trying to split it evenly with someone, but even then it would probably just be humorous.
With the pavers it just seems like a half-assed job. That would bother me if someone I hired did the work, but if I did it myself to my own paito, I'd assume I had good enough reason. I would never do that to someone else's patio, and would try to persuade them to get matching stones if I were helping someone with their patio.
The black floor tiles don't really bother me. Its not how I would do it, but the grout gaps are even and the tiles look like they are trimmed pretty well to the wall. The small step in the one row does not affect the performance of the installation, and it's probably just a photoshop anyway.
The encyclopedia picture.... Merely mild library shenanigans. Librarians deal with far worse, and if I was one, and saw that, I wouldn't touch it. It's in order, at least.
Capri-sun... You know, maybe you don't have very good manual dexterity and have had bad experiences breaking the hymen with the straw. You gotta do what you gotta do.
Last box left unchecked... Clever paradox, i'd probably compromise and strike a line through the whole thing.
Frito bag opened umop-apisdn, not a big deal, who cares. Incidentally the BAR-B-Q flavor is the most addictive flavor. They are seriously difficult to stop eating once you start.
Mosaic/collage/video game freeze screen? I don't know what is going on here but it looks pretty neat.
Bowls in the drying rack... Well as long as there are no more dishes to fit I guess it doesn't matter.
I don't know if the fig newtons really came from the factory like that, but if they did it probably means one of the line workers picked one up that fell on the ground and hastily put it back on the belt.
Black/white tiles in the bathroom... Charming. I would not do this myself were I tiling a commercial bathroom floor. I appreciate the break in symmetry though. It would be distracting in a good way to come across this as a random entering said bathroom. White-shirt managerial types would probably not see the beauty.
The tile mosaic teardrop is nice. The tiles in the top left are a slightly different color, but it doesn't completely detract from the look.
It took me a while to see the 'flaw' in the hexagonal bathroom tiling. Nicely hidden, wish there were more instances of slight switch-ups in that pattern. It would look very organic.
Heinz labels... Assume someone switched this for the picture. Pretty unlikely this would happen on an assembly line.
I don't like icecream sandwiches. The cold, dry paper wrapping feels so weird.
I, too, eat kitkat this way. No need to get chocolaty fingers.
I don't know why they put screw lids on gable-tops. It's a waste of materials IMO.
Blah blah blah lighters
Blah blah blah pills, just pop any pill out that hasn't been popped yet, who cares.
That collapsing bookshelf is freaking awesome! I love it. Want one in my living room, and other distorted furnishings as well.
Cups of liquid.
I really didn't like it when pencils would sharpen like this. I'm really fond of modern mechanical pencils (the Pentel Quicker-clicker in .05mm in particular) and I haven't had to use a wood pencil for writing or drawing in quite some time. Golf, carpentry, and standardized tests are really the only time you are going to HAVE to use one. 10/3/2012 3:51:13 PM |
