While this is all funny and I enjoy making fun of UNC, kinda feels like Love got fucked in all of this. Couldn’t Michigan have at least looked at his transcript to know how realistic it was that he’d get in before accepting his commitment? Feels like something that could be done in an afternoon, right? I don’t wanna say Love is an innocent bystander here. Just feels like he’s getting unnecessarily embarrassed because Michigan didn’t do due diligence. Idk maybe that’s not how it works. I think it's less of an indictment of Love than it is of UNC as a whole. Honestly, after talking about the college experience with normal people who went to UNC, it doesn't surprise me at all that someone transferring out of there has trouble meeting requirements at any other school. The way everything is done there is laughable at best.

Honestly i think it's completely reasonable that his waiver is getting denied. His initial transfer wasn't due to any personal extenuating circumstances. He left because he wasn't going to be able to play football that year (just like plenty of other guys thanks to covid.) That's like the whole reason the NCAA gave everyone a free year of eligibility.
