I have very little respect for players who go pro early. I was OK with some juniors leaving early in years past when 1) they were obvious top 10 players 2) NFL money was huge. But now that things have changed, I can't help but to lose respect for players who cop out of what is really a 4 year agreement.

^^ That's not the full point I was making. Not only are players skipping out on this mythical "4 year agreement", but some coaches are doing it to. Either when they force players to transfer to make room for new recruits, or when they themselves leave for another school.

When a coach recruits a player, he's recruiting said player for the long-term, 4 years. Sure there are exceptions to this rule, but for the vast majority of players, it's essentially a [soft] agreement to four years of play. It's not that Manning, or any player, owes anyone (but maybe the coaches and his teammates), but from the start, in almost every case, it was a 4 year commitment... a true man keeps his commitment instead of running for money.
