^^ I think it's a bit of #2. If things are improving (or a coach at least thinks they are) then the things that aren't progressing as well as other areas stands out.

I know Jibbles trolls us hard, but UT looks solid next year if Butch Jones can manage to not screw it up. They should be the favorite in the East with UF. Georgia will be a wildcard, the rest of the division is trash. It'll be decades before we are the favorite to win anything in football

^ thanks bro, I appreciate it. Both our teams have come a LONG way from that fateful day in the Georgia Dome that's for sure. UT should be the favorite to win the East next year but I think Florida's offense will be a lot better under the second year of McElwain, and who knows how UGA will shape up. Plus we have a brutal schedule streak with Florida, UGA (away), Texas A&M (away) and Alabama in four consecutive weeks, and that's after a pesky App. State and the much hyped Virginia Tech game which will be the highest attended football game in history.

And I am not saying it is a bad hire. I have never seen him coach a team, so I wouldn't know. I am just saying that DD's decision making is questionable, yet again. Usually, you want to go with an unknown commodity when you have other resources available to mitigate the risk. Such as time. In this case, DD doesn't have any time.

Our offensive efficiency was 22nd in the country. Our defensive efficiency was much lower. These undeniable facts are somehow lost.

I guess there was some sort of press conference today, but anyway, DDs comment about our schedule:
