i have mine on a SD tv, and probably will for another 6 months or so. For this reason i dont use it for anything other than gaming, and i only have 3 games.

Once I do have an entertainment center with HDTV then it will become the backbone of my entertainment connected to a receiver for surround sound and be my main hub for gaming, dvd, and bluray.


but for now, its on a 54" big screen sdtv and its fine.

I use FroshKiller's PS3 for playing old PSX/2 games. Without smoothing it'd look better on a tiny TV, but later generation PS2 games look great.

Killzone 2 will for sure. I read somewhere that it's basically finished, all that's left is polish. I think they could actually release it in the fall, but I think they're smart to hold back until Feb 09 (shitstorm of games in the fall, including Resistance 2).

I'm pretty excited about Bioshock coming to PS3, always seemed like a good title. Hopefully we'll also get the (rumored) new Dead Rising game. I almost bought a 360 just for that game.

It's been a rumor for a while now. I think even EGM printed something about it, it's supposedly been handed off to an undisclosed Western developer. The rumor is not specifically for the PS3, but that a sequel was in the works. They also just announced a Wii port of the original, so obviously they see it as a money maker.

I'm just hoping out loud that the PS3 will get in on the action this time around, since Capcom seems to be committed to bringing their games out to all platforms.

^judging by your sn, you should be getting excited about motorstorm 2 then. It looks pretty awesome. i liked the first one but just thought it felt too slow. Very impressive in every other way though. The gameplay I've seen from motorstorm 2 looks REALLY good.

^ Can't wait for Pacific rift. I'm all over that. I thought the game play in the first was was totally awesome so any improvements to it is goign to be amazing. The main thing is just fixing the load times, the car selection, and making multiplayer more fun. Totally pumped for more off road racing.

Got it back last night. They sent me a brand new one which is cool but I lost all of my saved games. I was toward the end of Ninja Gaiden, don't know if will play through again or not. Luckily I was not too far into GTA and already beat uncharted

same thing happened to mine (read around page 45-50 i guess). i backed up all mine on a USB stick and had it uploaded when i got my new ps3 back (less than 9 days later including weekends i may add from date of ship). Also, any games you bought from PS3 Store can be downloaded for free again

You can definitely export/import save files. That's how I got all the cars in GT5: Prologue unlocked

Just picked up Rockband with instruments used off craigslist. It came with the wireless guitar. But I can't get to the In-game Rockband store. Did anyone else experience this? I'm signed into PSN and everything, not sure what it could be.

So the whole Toysrus thing took a pretty funny turn for me. They ended up shipping the "free" game and then about a week later they canceled the order for the $54.99 game. In other words, instead of getting 2 games for ~$30 each I got 1 game for free. Slickdeal indeed.
