I imagine occasionally complaining of TMJ would be a convenient way to get out of performing the task which most men treasure so dearly and most women thoroughly despise

while my beach body isn't doing so hot, my sister is absolutely kicking ass and headed to the beach for the last week of August. She's been working on her pull-ups as of late and knocked out a few today. So proud of her!

^^ Spin is awesome. If you decide you like it and want to keep doing it, you should get some shoes with SPD clips. It makes a world of difference.

punchmonk, i took a beginning spin class and it was awesome! you're gonna love it. just prepare for a sore tush afterwards. it hurt to sit down for a day or so

I love spin classes. It's hard during the week to do any sort of long, hard bike ride in LA--too much traffic, not enough bike paths. Spinning lets me go as hard as I want and really punish myself; I've definitely noticed a difference in my normal cycling since I started doing the indoor classes.

kettlebell snatch/clean and jerk - 3 sets each arm. 10 reps, 20lbs.
pull-ups: set of 10, 8
mts rows: 3x10x60
squats: 3x10x105, 1x10x135
tricep pulldowns: 3x10x40, 1x10x50

Started cutting back on some of the cardio in p90x to see if I can burn/sweat less and maybe gain a bit more. I am still super active playing frisbee and soon to be trail hiking so it isn't like I am loafing about on non-lift days. Yoga is still a must though!

i'm definitely going to keep up with working out. i hadn't run since last friday and i ran tonight and it was shit. i felt like crap (and still feel like shit about it) and i know that it's because i hadn't been working out. i don't want to feel like that again - so i'm definitely going to keep this up

Given that I got a rather late start I know that I am going to miss this pool/beach season but that just gives me all winter/spring to really get to my goal (If I am not there by October) and then focus on maintaining so by the time next season rolls around I will be ready to go from day 1!

Update: i broke below 200 lbs, and I'm extremely stoked. been a few years since I've been this lean
