aaaaahahaha my mom took me to her office one weekend when i was a kid and no one else was there. i went around leaving happy faces on post it notes on people's computer screens. well turns out it's a high security job and all b/c it's insurance and people's personal info is all up in that shit and they thought someone broke in and called the cops and all this shit.

It's funny: everyone talks about the pain. No one thinks to mention how freaky it is to feel/hear cracking whenever you do anything because the teeth get loose. It'd bother me so much more than the pain if I didn't understand the why and how.

It felt/sounded like my head was popping popcorn when I was pressing to get this stuff in for overnight (i.e., pressing a little harder than if this were for a few hours)

Loose teeth are apparently going to happen, as the unrelenting stress on the teeth causes the jawbone to soften, which allows the teeth to move.

The popping/crackling sound is related to that.

i had intense pain/pressure the nights after i was rewired/tightened.


thank God for ibuprofen............i couldnt swallow pills before i got braces........i learned REALLY fast after that.


esp since chewing the children's motrin hurt so fucking bad
