well, this movie is going to be taken from the Phoenix saga, so i think cyclops would be pretty important character in this movie. Also, the funeral would more likely be for Jean, due to her coming back from the "dead" and kickin hella-ass.

The brotherhood members in that forest pic are Juggernaut, unknown Asian dude, Callisto, Stacy X, Multiple Man, Pyro and Jean Grey.

Juggernaut is in prison, rumor is that Magneto separates the Golden Gate Bridge and moves it across to Alcatraz where he and other "dangerous" mutants are imprisoned in order to help them escape.

"Little Girl" who shows up a lot in the trailer is Kitty Pryde

the trailer helps my cautious optimism, but...

brett ratner. bryan singer ups the ante, or matthew vaughn nails X3. but... brett ratner turns it into pedestrian garbage. I love, love, love the x-Men, but I hope the studios that rushed production of X3 get crushed by singer's superman this summer. X2 was a fucking great movie, and to lose the man responsible just plain sucks.

Yeah I think they're throwing that in their as a herring, I think cyclops is absent because he's at Alkalai lake. Although I guess Beast being there in a prominant position indicates its the end unless they introduce a back story of his and Jean being close before, perhaps they went to medical school together or he attended Xaviers with her and Scott but left after graduation?

there's an earlier close shot of Jean (or Phoenix at least) wearing that costume so I think its her. I'm hoping that they have her be good for most of the movie and turn at the end, as would be closer to what happened in the comics. It sounds like they're using much of the "Gifted" storyline from Astonishing, I'm hoping they're leaving Dark Phoenix for the whole of 4. I think if they did the Dark Phoenix story right they would have some visuals that the studio wouldn't let them leave out of the trailer (and dont try and tell me the studio would care about "ruining the surprise")

For a while after he was introduced he was quite a dubious character, sometimes he was a badguy (although for most of that he was under the influence of the Shadow King) It wasn't till he joined X-factor that he became consistently a hero or indeed more than a background character with an interesting power.


Also I can't believe all the Psylock fan's missed the asian girl wearing all purple in the classroom scene (and she looks a little older than the rest, although I'd say its a little out of character for a ninja to not be in the back of the room.

Juggernaut seems to be too small. I understand that if they added anymore make-up/CGI to him, he would look ridiculous but I think that Juggernaut is supposed to look ridiculous.

That did occur to me...but then if Bobby, Angel, and Beast aren't original X-men then I think that might be expecting a bit too much. I doubt she'll ever be more than an easter egg until about movie 8 or so anyways.
