I have a really easy way to do problem 1 for webassign ... if you're on a school computer, just go to "Tools" --> "Add-ins" and click the first box. Then when you do "data analysis" you can do a t-test, and the output gives you correlation and everything

Does anyone know how to do number 3 on the webassign? I am really lost trying to do it. I don't use excel alot and I have no idea on number 3. I just need to know how to do C, D, F, G, and H. Im in lab 203 but i havent gone for a single lab this semester. I just finish mine in class and turn em in, saves me the trouble of an extra class.
Look at registration records for your lab TA, thats bout the best way i can think of.

^ 3e didn't work for me...the only reason I didn't do 3 is b/c I can't get the stupid "Analysis Toolpak" to work on my PC

Also, what's 1 c? If someone would tell me how to compute that t-test statistic, that'd be awesome.

#2's confidence intervals are directly from 2 examples he gave at the end of class either Monday or last Friday, I can't remember. The formulas are on the slides...they are SLIGHTLY different for finding an "average" or finding the number for a "particular value", but it says what's what on the slides.

Sure, look at 11/21/05 slides. The 6th (I believe) slide has the formula: "A CI for E(y|xp) is....."

That's for an average y.

A few slides later it'll have the formula for a particular y: "A CI for y|xp is ..."

weird, my answers for both 2b and 2c were the exact same.

i did used the oppisite formula for b and when you told me i just put the answers in again for c and they were right. oh well i'm not gonna complain. yay for 100's

^ It's "right" because the answers are EXTREMELY similar, I mean they differ by like .200

WebAssign can't get that accurate, but on the test you'd need to know the difference between the formulas.

no real help whatsoever. What I hate is that he went over at least 25 different "crucial" points of information. There's 15 Q's on the test, and 3 are extra credit. Ok, exam's tomorrow. We all know it's open book/notes, but I'm making a "cheat sheet" for it anyway -- I think it's going to be about 7 hand-written pages, but I plan to type it to make it more readable. I'm also going to photocopy some tables or print some from the internet since I never bought the book.

No, I can't carry them with me tomorrow, because once exams start tomorrow technically they can call it cheating for you to use my sheet. Wow I'm popular tonight Just so yall know I haven't finished yet - and I'm not putting a whole LOT of examples on there, mainly equations. I might do it hand-written after all, but once I get it all together I'll clean it up. Go back to pp.6 of this thread and for ANOVA print off the page I linked to. That's what I'm doing.
