So, I was joking with my roommate tonight how he would need to get the "play a song left handed" achievement for me since he's left handed (I'm sure all you need to do is 3 star a song on easy, but still) and he said "why don't you just put the projector on rear projection mode" and I was like .

But it totally works. It just reverses everything on the screen, so lefty mode is the same as the normal mode. So I got my lefty achievement by 5-staring possum kingdom.

So I saw it was posted on the first page, but I think it's worth mentioning again, especially if there are a lot of people like me that didn't get this game until the 360 version came out.

There's a free GH Clone available for the PC and Mac called Frets on Fire. It's not nearly as refined as the console version, but the price is right, and I found a songpack to download that contained 450 new songs. Some of them will make you realize how hard it must be to get good songs for the console version, because they really suck but who can complain about 450 new free songs to practice. Oh and if you have the 360 version of the game, the controller plugs right into your PC with no hassles at all. It's worth checking out for anyone with the 360 version or the PS2 version and an adapter.

I FINALLY beat Woman on hard just now. I've beat most of the other songs on hard and even several on expert, but for some reason the required hammer-ons/pull offs in Woman was kicking my ass. So I've been stuck on the Career mode until now. Yay for finally being able to earn more money now.

yes, it sustains me for awhile but then it runs out and crazy ass mad hard solos come and fuck me in the head.

the song is just way too long, I can get to about 60-70% completion fairly consistently now

the only thing i can think to tell you is to play w/o thinking, just hum the song in your head and move your fingers as the beat you hear in your head, it helps to know the song well

on the hammer/pull trills, you just have to let it flow

don't strum, just let your fingers feel the trill

with that said, be ready to strum once to get back on track if you miss a note

^^^^^^^^It's ridiculous how out of place Woman is in the first tier of songs. That is like the toughest song to get through on hard until you get all the way to Carry Me Home.

They did a good job of holding your hand through the first few tiers of hard in GH1, making it an easier transition for people who are still dumb-founded by the orange note. I'm sure many people get impossibly stuck on Woman in GH2 and give up on hard all together, a serious oversight by the developers imo.

I got all the way to the 6th tier with no problems after beating Woman. You're so right about that song being out of place.

Also out of place in the ps2 version is Carry on, it's way harder than all the other songs in it's group, they moved it up some in the xbox version.

And in the xbox version Dead! is out of place, it should be probably 2 groups earlier, because it's easy.

No, these people go in, hack the game and program their own songs. You need a laundry list of programs and a modded game system to play the new songs though.

scorehero.com has the information on how to do it on their forums somewhere. I haven't really looked into it much.
