Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Letowski". You're Mr. Letowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing. 7/6/2006 11:53:37 PM |

He's fast and a really hard worker. Sounds like he is a good locker room guy as well. He could fit into Laviolette's system and thrive in the same way that Cullen did. 7/7/2006 11:03:52 AM |

Thrashers got fucked. As a result of that ruling, they can't sign any free agents for more than a year, AND they can't trade for any player with a contract longer than a year. Pwnt 7/7/2006 4:50:02 PM |

What kind of discount did 10/24 game plan ticket holders get for playoff tickets? 7/10/2006 3:02:16 PM |
vinylbandit All American 48079 Posts user info edit post |
Prices for 10/24 game STHs were the same as full STHs, but I doubt that'll be the same case this year as it was one of the main complaints of STHs.
That's assuming they even make the playoffs, of course. 1st to 17th isn't as hard to imagine as 2nd to 30th was.

They showed about 20 seconds on NBC including the corner cam view of the empty net goal and it did look pretty friggin' cool. Granted, I was going to buy it anyway for the full quality version of Game 7, but it's nice to see that it'll be a good program to watch (like Raising Canes). 7/11/2006 2:33:34 AM |

Anyone seen any good deals on this? Its listed as $19.99 for Circuit City, and the best online price is $18.89 at DeepDiscountDVD. Figured their might be a better deal somewhere else, possibly just in the Raleigh area (its not exactly being well advertised nationally). 7/11/2006 7:20:36 AM |

I went to the viewing last night
video was good, could have been better, but good considering it was produced in 9 days
and the entire game 7 is on there, they were selling it for $25 last night after the event, but I am sure if you can wait a few weeks the price will come down 7/11/2006 9:00:18 AM |

So apparently some of the stores around here ordered the same amount of copies that they would if the store was in Omaha Nebraska or whereverthefuck. Wal-mart had 12 copies, all sold out, Target had none. Thats fucking ridiculous. Best Buy has several copies, but they were charging $25.99 for it...ABOVE MSRP. Im sure The Eye has plenty of copies, but Ill probably be going to the internet for this one.
I did see the specs on the DVD, and it is anamorphic widescreen, which is a pleasant surprise. Not sure if game 7 is wide or standard though. 7/11/2006 11:41:47 AM |

Game 7 is wide format, and the program is outstanding. I've seen a bunch of these NHL Productions season retrospectives, and this one is the best IMO (though I may be a bit sentimental). The one thing I know for sure is that the main program is a good 30 minutes longer than the one I have from Colorado in '96. 7/11/2006 5:07:38 PM |
Vulcan91 All American 13893 Posts user info edit post |
I'm watching game 7 on the DVD now, and it looks like they left everything intact except for the commercials and intermissions, which is good. The Carolina Panthers highlight DVD I bought in 2004 had the Super Bowl broadcast on it, but it was edited all to hell so that as soon as the whistle blew it cut to the next snap. I was afraid they would do something similar with this, but NHL Productions seems to do a much better job than NFL Films. 7/11/2006 5:32:59 PM |
