Yeah, I was at the game Tuesday night for some interviews, and I asked about the weekend rotation, and they said it was like 80-90 percent sure he wasn't going this weekend just because he needs rest for the much-more-important ACC tourney.

This whole mess surely just sealed that he won't pitch. I can't even imagine what everyone's going through with that.

my boss gave me four tickets to the series against clemson on the 3rd row behind the plate...i may have a few extra a couple of days, but they're season passes so it would be tricky to distribute.

i'm not sure of drew martin's status, but last night the ncsu radar gun guy was beside me when a bunt turned into a 94 mph fastball off the hand...i wouldn't be surprised if he broke a few fingers.

Also, and it might have been mentioned previously, but FSN is broadcating ALL of the ACC tournament games rather than just the championship game as in previous years....about damn time too .

^^ We're the 6th seed in the ACC tourney. I liked the old double-elimination format better than the new two-pool round-robin tournament.

Wed., 10 a.m., vs. #3 Virginia
Thurs., 7 p.m., vs. #2 UNC
Sat., 10 a.m., vs. #7 Ga. Tech

The top team from each pool will advance to the championship game, Sunday at 1 p.m.

If two teams tie in a pool, then the head-to-head winner moves on. If three teams tie in a pool, then the regular-season standings determine who moves on to the final.

Yeah Im not a fan either...in a tournament, the regular season should matter only for seeding...thats it. I prefer the double-elimination format, that way you lose because you lost on the field, not because of some games that took place 2 months ago. Besides, if a team loses their first two games, they are effectively eliminated, but they still have to play another game...pretty pointless.
