^^^ From my reading of the events, I think a large contributing factor to the high death count was that it seems he went back to rooms he had hit to finish people off. From what I remember that's a fairly uncommon action in school shootings. Usualy the shooters move from target to target, seeking to inflict maximum damage, but perhaps not seeking to ensure each target dies. From what I've seen on this one, he would take out a room, and later double back to shoot anyone still moving.
Not saying he couldn't have had some training or practice, but given the distance, methodology and behaviors of the victims it's not impossible or I think unlikely that he could rack up a high body count with little training. 4/23/2007 11:23:15 PM |
