God almighty Brady is unstoppable. He's like a robot. Doesn't help our pass rush is non-existent, and that our safeties don't know what the hell they're doing, but still, the man is good. 8/24/2007 9:11:22 PM |

Jake has looked good tonight. Damn good actually. He had pretty good numbers, but they should have been much better. At least 5 of his passes were right on the money and dropped. If he could only play with any sort of consistency...
Carr looking good too ... until the pick. That was bad. 8/24/2007 10:40:59 PM |

Our O-line has been bad for every game except against the Giants weak ass defense. I think Kalil getting 1st time big league experience is good but it is costing Jake time in the pocket. Our special teams has no excuse however.... That patriots game was more the patriots showing off than anything... I am still optimistic... 8/25/2007 7:11:09 PM |

Check out how Hasselbeck punk'd us in the NFC title game a few years back
Quote : | "KIRKLAND, Wash. --While NFL teams spend millions on elaborate video systems, Matt Hasselbeck thanks the TiVo in his living room for helping the Seattle Seahawks reach Super Bowl XL.
An intense work week was nearly finished when Hasselbeck dove into his DVR the day before Seattle faced Carolina in the NFC title game 19 months ago.
" |
Quote : | "This is how home-game Saturdays go for Seattle's three-time Pro Bowl quarterback. His wife, Sarah, takes the kids out of the house. Hasselbeck hits the playbook and watches the opponent's recently televised games, looking for clues not found in the snap-to-whistle clips NFL teams assemble from elevated sideline and end-zone cameras.
Right away Hasselbeck noticed something he only could have seen on the televised version.
Carolina tended to open games in the "Bear" defense made famous by Buddy Ryan. The opposing offense would adjust, and someone on the Panthers would call an audible.
"Move!" the defender would yell, and the Panthers would get into their preferred defense, leaving the offense at a disadvantage. This is when the team-shot video would normally pick up, but the broadcast version exposed the Panthers' tactics.
"NFC Championship Game, first play, I couldn't believe it, they lined up in a Bear defense," Hasselbeck said. "And in that same voice I heard on TiVo, I go, 'Move!' "
The Panthers moved.
Seattle stuck with its original play.
"It was awesome, like a 12-yard gain to Bobby Engram, naked bootleg to the left," Hasselbeck said. "It set the tone. I was feeling very good about the game after that one."" |

you really cant take anything from that game last night. This may have been the worst preseason I can remember in Panthers history, but that may be because we held back the most this year because we were worried about our nemesis : the injury bug... 8/31/2007 8:20:18 AM |

One of the few offensive plays last night that made me say "hell yeah"
Jenks came to play! First string D looked great; overall defense didn't allow a single TD
Colbert continues to look good and should definitely be the #2 receiver next week @ St. Louis
Kasay, after missing a FG. At least it wasn't blocked! And he hit his only other attempt
Stanley McClover suffers one of the Panthers' few injuries of the preseason, but is able to walk off on his own
Despite a couple TDs versus the Giants, Biddle is still in jeopardy of not making the team
Dalton "Roadhouse" Bell knows "It's gonna get worse before it gets better"

actually the year we went to the superbowl we were 4-0 in the preseason as were the pats
heres an interesting stat though, if indy's horrible preseason record but great regular season and playoff teams didnt convince you already that preseason W/L are meaningless
Quote : | "Last year was a perfect case in point. Not one division winner had a winning record in the preseason.
New England Patriots 2-2 Baltimore Ravens 2-2 Indianapolis Colts 1-3 San Diego Chargers 2-2 Philadelphia Eagles 2-3 Chicago Bears 2-2 New Orleans Saints 1-3 Seattle Seahawks 2-2 " | ]8/31/2007 11:48:09 AM |

i dont put a whole lot of emphasis on wins and losses, but i do like to see the starters show some competence on the field while they're in. the offense has looked bush league in 3 of 4 games, and the defense has looked bad in 2 of 4. the overall score puts too much reliance on whether scrubs win or lose their portion of the game, and nobody really cares about that. 8/31/2007 3:37:08 PM |
