i forget, do sniper rifles count as small or big guns. i know basic assualt rifles are small in the old games, but cant much remember and dont wanna pick wrong perk when i start.

The key I've found is not to try to be well rounded in all the skills

You simply won't get enough skill points over the course of the game to be great at everything

Just pick like 4 or 5 crucial ones and boost those

Also, don't push your skills over 85 or so...there are books and bobbleheads around the world that can push them the rest of the way to 100

The megaton explosion is awesome

^^I agree with you, i have the pc version. Friend just started playing on the 360 version and it doesn't look as good. Usually there's only a slight difference, but on ultra high settings on the pc with 8x anti-aliasing it looks much better than the 360 version. I tried using a 360 controller, but it's just so jerky and the mouse is much more fluid.

Hacking was ridiculously confusing at first, but I figured it out eventually, haven't failed in a while.


You click on a word, and in the bottom right it gives you a number, 3/6 for example.

That number means 3 of the 6 letters in that word are in the right place. Like if the password is seeing and you clicked boring. So you can eliminate the words that have more or less letters, like sawing (4/6) or sealed (2/6)

Also if you click on a closed set of brackets (any type) you can either get your chances reset to 4 or a word removed.

So if you see a line like this: //{[#%|(}#/ then when you mouse over the { it will highlight the stuff between them, click on that.

i put points into weapons as an afterthought...at lvl 10 i'm 90 lockpick, 75 science, and in the 50's on sneak, barter, and speech

now that the heavy weapons are showing up, I'm dumping points into that...laser gatling, minigun, etc FTMFW
