Yeah, i'm optimistic about the Knicks making the playoffs this year. I'm a little afraid that the nets might get J O'Neil for RJ though. I hope that trade doesn't happen. 6/29/2007 1:54:09 AM |

Quote : | "I just did some light digging (it's the only way I dig) and discovered something pretty interesting. Starting in 1998 -- the year after Tim Duncan went No. 1 to the Spurs -- only two NBA lottery picks have gone on to win titles with the teams that drafted them. Talk about opposite ends of the spectrum: They are Darko Milicic (No. 2 overall) and Dwyane Wade (No. 5), both selected in 2003. That's nine years since The Big Fundamental and very many broken dreams.
And that's all lottery picks. The No. 1 overall guy hasn't rewarded the team that drafted him with a trophy since Timmy D. How lame is that? Very, very lame. " |

The blazers are the big winners
the lakers are the big losers (not getting a deal done to either help kobe or trade kobe) 6/29/2007 2:01:24 PM |

Kobe going to flip da fuck out or start losing games i.e. Vince Carter. Portland did it big, but I still not sold on Oden over Durant, but that is just me. I think they both will be a top force in a few years. Any of these guys get to try out for Team USA?

Except they have Parker and Farmar at point. I didn't get why they took him actually, unless Farmar is trade bait. 6/29/2007 4:07:50 PM |

^Doesn't do anything to make the Lakers better in the short term, and means a team running the triangle offense has used their first round pick on a PG two years in a row. Crittenden is at least a big PG, which Phil Jackson should like if he is back. 6/29/2007 4:21:50 PM |
