almost time to drive home. I carpooled with my neighbor today and yesterday. he just broke up with his girlfriend. her car is in the shop (and they don't know what's wrong with it. it's stuck in 2nd gear). so he let her borrow his car to go to work.

the ball window reminds me of a funny story from a ski trip with my dad

he was goofin off out ahead of me and a buddy on a relatively flat traverse, with his poles planted in front of the boot, on top of the ski instea of in the snow.

his poles at this time were some of ht e ones w/o straps, but just hand guard things.

anyways, he turned around to see how far behind we were, when we were kids we used to trail directly behind to not get lost.

as he was torqued around, one tip slipped off the ski, hit the snow, rotated, pole escaped his hand, kinda twirled around, the handle planted in the snow, and the tip came up and hit him right in the junk

tore through his pants, long underwear, even underwear, and he told us later put a nice cut in the thigh/crotch crevace... bled a bit

kinda lucky it wasnt a few inches to the side
