this is turning out to be really hilarious. On the news there's nothing but minority interviewees making outlandish statements about their extreme relief about not having to worry about where the money will come from for their house and gas, etc.

and on the other hand a ton of people who live off student loans or make well under the tax threshold Obama refers to complaining about how we're gonna get taxed into oblivion and "socialism". That's why stuff like this disappoints me. Besides the fact that a lot of these people are nice, they are also well-educated people and some of them hold down very important jobs. It's honestly makes me sad moreso than mad.

I try to play devil's advocate and say, "well maybe if you had facebook four years ago, you would have done the same thing with Bush"...but I just don't think I would. Then I saw something where they played the past two clips when Gore and Kerry lost to Bush and both men said something along the lines of "well I just got off the phone with Bush"...and you didn't hear anything. Then they show McCain's speech and you hear the showering of boos.

So I'm wondering if all of this animosity towards Obama are just small portion of dumb, ignorant conservatives...or is the Obama election brought out some closet racism that people have been holding in for a while??

As much as I want to shrug it off...it keeps disturbing me. I was talking to an old roommate of mine who has been working political campaigns off and on for the past 15 years...and he said he's never seen anything like this.
