that's really unimportant considering we face each other again...The division will likely come down to that mon night game, with the loser getting the wildcard.

90 posts by a guy who is hating on the Carolina Panthers. Hey man, how about we leave this thread alone until December 29th? Then we can go from there. This is such a waste of time.

haha who gives a fuck that you have picked 70% (i pick 80%), but that was never a discussion. I picked the ATL-Car game correct and you didnt and now you are being a little bitch about it because you know everything I have said will likely come true.

Lets move on and talk about the Packers game. Ya they lost tonight but I really dont think it was because they played poorly. I actually think the Saints played their best game of the season. Im actually glad the Packers lost. This means they will be that much more inspired to beat the Panthers this coming week (which is practically a 100% lock for me to happen). If Matty Ice and Harry Douglas tore you guys up, just imagine what Rodgers and Jennings are going to do. I do think the Panthers offense will find a little more success, but they wont be able to keep up with the Pack. Plus, Harris and Woodson wont have 2 horrible games in a row. This is the best cb tandem in the league and I expect them to show that this coming weekend.

How about you say something useful. The comment you just made on this thread was totally and utterly stupid because nobody is going to stop talking on this thread, especially those who care to truely unbiasly defend their team like a few people have done. You are a complete fool and you wasted a few seconds of your life.

Just to reiterate to new joiners, I am saying that the Panthers will lose @GB, TB, and @NYG. I thin there is a good possibility of them losing to Denver and I think they will beat the very much overrated Saints. In saying this, I believe they barely miss playoffs and I think the Skins, or Falcons get that last spot (with Dallas getting the 5th seed). If the Panthers win against Denver, they could possibly make it in that 6th seed because I see them being tied with Skins and Falcons, but I dont know how the tiebreak will work. BUT, the more I think about it the more I see Denver beating CAR.

our offense was fine versus atlanta, it was the defense and special teams that was horrible

Going into halftime with 3 points is not a good offensive outing. Ya sure, Delhomme had pretty good stats but he and the running game got SHUT DOWN for a whole half and after than it was too late (dont look now but they lost by how much??? 17) And dont get me started on that defense. I feel like I dont need to.

you dont need to start anything on the defense, i just put it on them...our OFFENSE cut the game to 3 points, our DEFENSE gave up 4 TDs to Turner

If this was in Carolina I give it to Carolina. But theres something about near-playoff time in Lambeau. Packers always step their shit up and its just about that time for them to start making a run. I just dont see them losing there, unless it was a really really solid team, and I just dont think Panthers are that.

i finally figured out our problem

Dwayne Jarrett 8 93 11.6 25 0 0 0"

after looking at these and other good team's stats, we have by far the fewest # of catches by supporting recievers, not the top 2, of any of the top teams

since steve smith came back we totally forgot about the other guys, jarren, rosario, etc
our best game was against san diego when we moved the ball around, almost everyone had several catches and kept the other team off balance

please someone call the panthers talk show and share this with john fox on my behalf,
if not for me, do it for the panthers

Honestly, I think you could be dead on point. I've always thought the Panthers could possibly be better without Smith. Smith has turned into a diva in this league who is pompous. Jake may feel pressured to get him the ball. You won your 1st 2 games of the season (your most impressive wins of the season to me) without him, then he comes back week 3 and you lose to the Vikings in Frerottes 1st game as the starter. I think you could be on to something there, seriously.

Ok...ONCE AGAIN....its not like one player starts playing better for GB come near-playoff time. Its like the whole team steps up and I think it had something to do with the history there and the fan-base and the cold. I dont know what it is but it does happen.

^I can see why someone would say that. The team doesn't not get as much outta Steve Smith as they possibly could. I do agree though, we'd be worse without him.

just because when a great player like Smith isnt playing, other guys have to step up and fill the void and make plays, it doesnt mean a team will be better if you get rid of their best player...but he's just trolling anyway

I'm not saying that Panthers would be better without him either but Im definitely leaving the possibility open that they could be. Jake Delhomme is a shaky qb, can we all agree on that? If he is a guy who feels pressured at all to get Smith the ball (like against Seattle in the NFC Champ game 3 years back), he plays worse. I have always thought of Jake to be a solid qb that gets way too much shit from Panthers "fans" and could def see how Steve Smith could bring Jake down a little bit. Look in b-ball, Gilbert Arenas, hes the best player for the Wizards talent wise, but their record is way better without him. Teams in team sports need chemistry first and foremost. If a player doesnt mesh well then it all goes to hell. And Im not saying Smith doesnt mesh, but Id leave the possibility open that Panthers would be better without him.

If it was any other team, I'd say nothing. I actually went back and looked at every Packer season since 1991. In every season but 3, the Packers have come on incredibly strong at the end of the season winning 4-5, or 5-6, or 4-4. GO look for yourself if you dont believe me. And 2 of the seasons that they didnt come on strong at the end of the season were horrible seasons and they were not in contention anyways. THis year they are and I expect to see the Green Bay Packers start to roll starting this weekend against no one else, but the Panthers. Hope Carolina brings their heaters.

He felt pressure b/c if he didn't get the ball to him that year, we lost....who else did we have?

not much of an NBA fan, but I did hear the wizards were something like 1-10.....and guess who hasn't played the whole season.

If anything smitty is jake's security blanket....he can (and does alot of times) make a terrible throw in smitty's direction and he'll make Jake look good 75% of the time.

Its crazy how close the Packers and Panthers matchup is on paper. GBs point per game:5th, Car Pts allowed: 7th. GB pass yds:12th, Car pass allowed:9th. GB run yds: 20th, Car run yds allowed: 17th. Car pts per game: 20th, GB pts allowed: 22nd. Car run yds: 6th, GB run allowed: 26th. BUT Car pass yds: 22nd, GB pass yds allowed: 6th.

Too bad its in GB

funny how all 3 of the seasons where they didnt finish 4/5 or 5/6 or 4/4 are in the last 4 years

but please, talk about the mid 90s teams since the players and coaches are all different and therefore their past performance, under a different QB, head coach, off coord, def coord, etc are all different

Im not sure you could be more wrong here if you tried. '07- won 3 of 4, '06- won 4 of 4, '04- won 3 of 4, '03- WON 6 OF 7. WOW dude. Gets your facts straight before posting, I do. And actually, your comment about the 90's teams were totally different players is a great point...in my favor. Shows it doesnt matter who is playing for the PAck, they always step their shit up in late November and December.

KEEP GETTIN SHOT DOWN!!!

too bad you never said 3 of 4, or as you would say "3-4"

you said "4-5, or 5-6, or 4-4."...you were trying to inflate green bay's season finishes to better than they actually were...when i responded to your claims, you decided to change the entire criteria

you didnt say jack shit about winning 3 of their last 4...you said 4 of their last 5, 5 of their last 6, and their last 4...dont tell me to get my facts straight when the packers didnt go 4/5 or 5/6 like you claimed

HAHA. Mad you got proven wrong again. Obviously we are talking about the end of the season. 4-5 is 4 out of 5. Sorry I guess I shoudl have been a little clearer.

i dont give a shit if you want to say 4-5 means 4/5

i'm talking about your claim that they went 4/5, 5/6 and 4/4

i looked through their schedules just like you said because i didnt think they finished as hot as 5 out of 6 all the time like you claimd, and i saw multiple years where they finished 3/4 (actually 3/5) which you never mentioned until i called you out on it

dont get mad at me because you overinflated their late season numbers and i addressed the numbers you actually gave

if you had said they often finish 3/4 thats fine, but you didnt say that...you tried to make them sound better than that...i checked their schedule, called you out, and you're too retarded to even understand what i'm calling you out about

Ya my point was that they finish strong every year and I was dead on accurate and I proved it with statistics. Ok so they never finished exactly 5 out of 6. BUT they did finish 4 out of 4 and 3 out of 4 in several occasions. This shows me that you were 1) mad about being proven wrong. 2) now trying to pick at very small and useless details to try to regain some credibility that you have lost since coming up against me about anything NFL-related.
