I've discovered that making a pupil using a campus computer lab is a great way to make a valid guy for your brutes that'll get XP.

My best brutes seem to be:

to get pupils you have people click your link to fight your brute. when they make a new person for the fight that person is your pupil. a person can really only be the pupil of one other person. so that means that if they already have a brute, they will be your pupil but you won't get experience for it. this means that you need to get new people to join the game.
