"I truly don't understand this part of your statement. Why do you assume women feel this way if you go out? (Ok, I will admit, I'm sure some very needy girls react this way... But good Lord, sometimes we want "me time.")"

Mostly from the way they express themselves when guys do want to go out solo. When you act saddened or disappointed based on these plans we can only imagine you feel bad when at home, otherwise why would women act that way? Trust me, I wish I could apply this to only a segment of the female population, but when considering all girls either me or my friends have dated fit this description it is hard to do so.

as i said earlier, maybe you haven't fully experienced it and transitioned into mode yet since you still have a stable female clique. but the more females age and the more their cliques dwindle this is what begins to happen. sadly a lot happens from 23 to 25 and onward.

Quote :
"And my question still hasn't been answered -- what exception are yall referring to that every girl in this thread seems to think she is?"

That they are one of the guys and/or their presence doesn't affect the way their boyfriend or his friends act when out and/or they are the exception and do not act like the females described in this thread.

Well then all the girls itt aren't the "exception" because I for one never claimed to be "one of the guys" or denied my fiance acts different around his friends.. nor do I feel abandoned or super lonely every time he does something with his friends. (Maybe that aspect will change and become more frequent, but right now it's not an issue.)

I just love how all you guys are acting so tuff and as if you never get lonely and miss your girl. Don't even lie - you know there have been times where your girlfriend/wife/whatever was out doing something without you and you felt lonely or sad. It's kind of weird that you're trying to make it seem like that's only a woman thing.

^^while women don't actually go that far, to hear them act about their guys just hanging out you would think they were on the verge of doing so.

I think seconds 15 to 45 highlight the situation pretty well

This has never happened to me. Not once. Nor have I ever dissuaded her from spending time apart from me.

I have never known a guy who gets lonely after less than 48 hours away from his girl.

I missed a girlfriend once. She was in Scotland for fucking month. Although looking back on it I'm pretty sure I mostly just missed the sex part.

Another thing I never understood: When I went to hang out with my friends, it was normally just me. When she went to hang out with her friends, she insisted on dragging me along. I didn't get it. The whole point of your friends, as far as I'm concerned, is to give you time away from me, other people to vent to, someone to complain about me to, etc.

I guess in some cases the woman wants to show the man off, but believe me, nobody wants to show grumpygop off to anybody.

Oh, that's right. I forgot. All the guys on tww not only never have feelings or loneliness or act like a crazy boyfriend ever and they only date supermodels.

How could I forget.....

Yall are trying to say us women act like we NEVER do anything of the things yall bitch about but when the tables are turned, oh no... you never do what you're accused of either. Funny how that works, huh?

agreed. however, i have never been dumb/bold enough to say "nah i've been alright" when asked "did you miss me.

^^ what things do you suggest we do that we don't admit to?

it isn't that I don't have feelings, or that these other guys don't. the case is more simply that women are either naturally or culturally more codependent and this causes the events that have been echoed numerous times in this thread.

Also I don't date a super model, but I do date a 5' 4" girl, with light hair, light eyes and who weighs 109lbs. I'd say shes about a 7 as is but is in the 7.5 to 8 category when she does herself up.

I have to say that having qntmfred as my SO is like finding the golden ticket from Willy Wonka. Reading this thread makes me feel bad for some ladies. I hope I never do anything to screw things up with Ken because I would hate the high percentage possibility of dealing with the kind of guys mentioned in this thread.

A song i heard a few years ago

Quote :
"
Parody of Semi-Charmed Life by Third Eye Blind

Whipped, whipped, whipped

Whipped a whipped ah

Whipped, whipped, whipped

Whipped a whipped ah

Whipped, whipped, whipped

Whipped a whipped ah

Whipped, whipped, whipped

I'm old and I'm married, I'm wanted

I wanna meet the boys down at Victory's

So I get my wife's permission

All love and fishin'

She gets mad and she hauls off on me

Then I make a face and we start to fight

Whatever was I thinkin' of, goin' out tonight

I guess I really didn't want my cold beer

I know who's wearin' the pants here

My marriage has always been totally reversed

She's got the wallet and I'm carring a purse

I know she's the skipper every day

'cause I'm Mrs. Hathaway because

I don't run my life. Whatever I do I

Gotta go ask my wife

Honey, honey

I don't run my life. I'll ask and then she'll say

You'll die.

Whipped, whipped, whipped

Whipped a whipped ah

Whipped, whipped, whipped

Whipped a whipped ah

Whipped, whipped, whipped

Whipped a whipped ah

Whipped, whipped, whipped

She shops at Kohl's

Meanwhile I'll sit there pickin' at my nose

And I wish I could go out and just play softball

Or go fishin' at the lake

I wonder if my male organ really is a fake

And I should talk. But I'll shut up instead

With a tick-tock rhythm, she'll whoop on my head

It's screwed up, hey I know that you're laughing

'cause you're just like me. I feel your envy

How'll I ever face my friends

With this dog leash around my head

She says I can't talk anymore

'cause it's time for bed. Night-night.

I don't run my life. Whatever I do I

Gotta go ask my wife

Honey, honey

I don't run my life. I'll ask and then she'll say

You'll die.

(Abby Kaelin: Hi Daddy.

Dave Kaelin: Hi Abby.

Abby: I have a question

Dave: What is it dear?

Abby: Why are you a wuss?)

She shops at Kohl's

Meanwhile I'll sit there pickin' at my nose

And I wish I could go out and just play softball

Or lay down and die i i i i

(Dave Kaelin: So you, so you like the song?

Carrie Kaelin: It's not very flattering

Dave: I guess I should change it huh?

Carrie: Yes, I think you should

By the way, Dave,

When are you are coming home?

Dave: As soon as the song's over, honey.

I still have to sing a couple...

Carrie: That's not fast enough dear.

Dave: Just, just, just let me

Sing a couple more verses..

Carrie: No Dave, no Dave

Dave: Ummm

Carrie: Come home now.

Dave: Alright, I'm leaving)

I know I'm not an exception. I like hanging out with "the guys" sometimes, and at other times want nothing to do with their shenanigans.

Wow.

The only time I get all pissy is when the conversation goes something like,

"Bob invited me to go do __________."
"That's cool."
"Yeah it's going to be super awesome and super fun and you can't go btw, and yeah I'm going to have so much fun. Think you could do the dishes while I'm off having a shitload of fun?"
"Fuck you?"

I like when the beau goes off and does shit on his own sometimes because it gives me me time, but not if he's going to rub in my face what he's doing without me. When I go off to do something fun with my group of friends I don't talk that way because I find it kind of mean-spirited.

Punchmonk - I hate to break it to ya but no psychologically healthy guy is gonna think about his wife even close to 80% of the time while he's jerkin it. Hell, you'll be lucky if he's thinking about you 80% of the time while you guys are fucking each other

I think omgyouresexy and I have got this shit on lock. We're both cool with doing things apart from each other, especially if it's something the other has no interest in. I only ever feel bad if I'm leaving him at home with nothing better to do than play PS3 and go on TWW (which he's actually pretty happy about most of the time).

I do always feel rather bad for people who have to get permission or who feel like marriage=100% of time spent together. Marriage doesn't even have to be necessary--most of the friends who have this issue that we know aren't married.
