It depends on how expansive the term "transgender" is; under the more expansive notion that I object to, even variant gender expression is included, and about 5% of straight guys cross-dress to some extent, but on the other hand only about 1% of 1% of people are transsexual.

I don't really get when someone goes out of their way to constantly remind people they're trans/vegan/obese/whatever. At a certain point it becomes attention whoring rather than a part of your identity. Not saying that's what the op is doing but I feel like a lot of people are really just pissed off at that sort of behavior rather than whatever the person is.

well its kind of a choice. but its the same kind of choice as it is whether you would rather eat ice cream or mud. in the end its not really much of a choice at all.

there hasnt been too much progress so far and im not even sure posting pics on here would be a good idea. not at this point anyway. possibly in the future. ive been trying to save enough pictures to maybe do a transition video when im closer to being done because watching other peoples videos has been really inspiring at times.

No, transgenderism is having a gender identity opposed to one's biological sex, and transsexualism involves IMO the desire to make permanent modifications to bring one's physical appearance, both public and intimate, in line with the gender identity; the only reason a pre-op trans woman has "boobs and a dick" is that hormone-replacement therapy long precedes approval for sexual-reassignment surgery, and the combination of androgen-blockers and estrogen often causes the growth of breast tissue (also IIRC cosmetic surgeons don't follow ye olde Harry Benjamin standards, so it's much easier to get breast implants, for those not satisfied with the hormone-induced breast growth, than the combination of penectomy and orchiectomy, so that's done earlier too, if at all).
