holy cow.. just finished all four seasons in about 3 weeks. How the fuck did I miss this awesome show for so long?
I almost don't want a 5th season with how perfectly the 4th seemed to end. It'll be interesting to see where they go with it. 11/29/2011 9:38:26 PM |

^Agreed, the season 4 finale would have been a very satisfying series finale.
Put me down as one of the latecomers to this amazing show (right up there with The Wire for me). I'm trying to get my roommates into it but they'd rather watch The Walking Dead, Storage Wars, etc.
Can't wait for good television to come back - I guess Mad Men in March can tide me over until whenever Breaking Bad makes its glorious return. 11/30/2011 1:29:45 PM |

you guys are crazy if you think the series could end with walter winning. I don't see the series ending wqout walter dead or in jail, or just is some permanent position of 100% powerlessness. 11/30/2011 3:32:28 PM |

It does seem pretty likely that the series will end with Walt dead/having lost everything. Honestly, I think that would be an equally or only marginally more satisfying ending. It wasn't simply the fact that Walt won at the end of season 4; it was how they arrived at the end of season 4. 11/30/2011 6:42:13 PM |

I went to New Mexico this weekend and drove by the Crossroads Motel. I've only seen the first season so I didnt recognize many of the other places from the show. 12/5/2011 10:53:53 AM |

well even Vince Gilligan doesn't know how he's going to end it, so i'd say it's a bit premature for such conjecture.12/5/2011 12:20:31 PM |

It gets better every season
which parts in particular dragged to you? The Skyler parts are annoying in almost every season 12/19/2011 6:56:53 PM |

Skyler stuff is definitely the worst of it. Such is the case with the cunty wife in any story, though.
And I thought the season two ending was kind of weak. I'm a sucker for the type of foreshadowing (?) they were pulling with the stuffed animal intros, but it in the end it seemed a little too Lost-y and bolted on. I read an interview with Vince whathisname where he talked a little about the symbolism of it all, but it was still a bit underwhelming.
Still worthy of a 4/5 star rating on Netflix, I guess. 12/19/2011 7:32:46 PM |

Watching a WRAL interview with Drew Carey about celebrity week on The Price is Right, Carey mentioned that before he was famous, Aaron Paul was a contestant on TPIR. I googled for a youtube video but couldn't find it. I'm guessing it had to have been pretty damn funny seeing 'Jesse' play a pricing game in the late 90's. 1/4/2012 6:47:40 PM |

Nah, it was a great finale but still so much left to answer after that.
And on that note - this "season" (half season, whatever) has to end with Walt somewhat on top right? My assumption is Walt is on top as far as Heisenberg (has power, money, his empire) but has lost out on everything else that makes him Walt (Jessie, his family), leaving next season to be about his somewhat redemption. Though personally I will be pissed and very surprised if he actually truly redeems himself in the end.

Just finished season 4. This show is spectacular. Definitely a top 5 show.
I read through that AV article above, and V.G.'s explanation of Tuco and Gus is prety crazy:
Quote : | "the initial plan was to keep Tuco around for a long time, but we were left with no choice but to kill off the character. And, in the absence of Tuco, and the vacuum that that left behind, we thus came up with Gustavo Fring. " |
I would love to see how they would have developed Tuco's character and how completely different this show would be with him, instead of Gus. It also blows my mind that they did this show without a real plan to where the story and characters would lead them.9/25/2013 12:23:28 PM |
