What they skim over in that report is that the U.S. Olympic Committee pays our athletes a cash prize for winning a medal. Gold = $25k, Silver = $15K, and Bronze = $10k.

That's what they're being taxed on, not the medal itself. They still come out ahead. I'm not saying I agree with taxing them or not, I"m just saying that the report leaves out some very relevant information. Do the math on all of combined medals and the U.S. Olympic Committee has paid Phelps like $425,000 for his wins.

I glanced at the tv and actually that the globetrotters were playing the generals but then i saw it was the Olympics


Why is this waste of time even on tv? Why are 3rd world countries that can't feed their citizens even allowed to pretend to play an olympic sport
