Out of all the television programs that asked for an interview, I specifically chose Piers Morgan, exclusively. I'm well aware that I was going to look and sound stupid on his show. The users of thewolfweb still haven't figured out after 10 year and that don't care about how stupid I look and sound as long as I learn something. I care about putting ideas out there for discussion. My ideas were censored. I tried to keep quiet until he asked me some quality questions, but the quality never came. The second half of the interview, I spoke up more, however they cut out pretty much every response that I had about the government, including about the house-to-house gun confiscation after Katrina, the fact that the government is allowed to own assault weapons and they actually USE them and have killed about 3,000,000 people around the world since 9/11. That number blows the number of people who die by domestic violence out of the water. I even advocated the government lead by example and disarm themselves as the "more responsible" party. As for the red eyes, it's because I was exhausted. I had to handle the publicity, nonstop phone calls, stocking the store, grocery shopping, planning, paperwork, before we opened. We still closed at 3am, I barely got any sleep that week. At that time of the interview, we completed one of our busiest weeks in 6 years. We made about a month's worth of customers in one week. We could have made more, but we were so busy that we couldn't answer phone orders and had to turn customers away due to a 2 hour wait. 80% of the customers that came in was open carrying, while 10% had no gun, but a CCW permit. We had AK-47s, Rugel AC556s, 9mm, 45s, and even pocketsized guns the size of a laptop harddrive. Piers made a comment about "nobody was shot" when guns weren't there, however, he failed to acknowlege that "nobody was shot" when the guns WERE there. Piers asks how I know customers with guns aren't mentally ill? The answer is you don't know. You never know in any circumstance. A person can walk into piers morgan's building off the street with a gun right now. It's just an absurd question. I can usually tell when someone is "off" by the manner at which the "walk in" to my store. They also drove to my store and if they are mentally ill, is it wise for the government to allow them a license to drive? Don't you think that would have been weeded out at the DMV? Regardless, if a mentally ill person decided to shoot for absolutely no motive or goal, I have plenty of responsible, well-trained gun owners in the store to take care of that business. No SANE criminal is going to try to rob a store with well-trained gun owners sitting all around him. Lastly, ""I am trying to make money because that will... how it's supposed to work is that I can save money and then I can use it later in life to support me when I put my work into society." was supposed to come out as: "I am trying to make money because that will... how it's supposed to work is that I can save money and then I can use it later in life to support me AFTER I put my work into society WHEN I RETIRE." They cut out the part after it that said "There is no amount of money that I can make right now that I can retire on due to inflation. In 30 years from now, my money will be worth less/worthless. I know that sentence that aired came out wrong, but come on--It's not that hard to figure out what I meant to say. I messed my words up merely twice in the whole interview and was lucky enough for them to keep both in the interview. With love, GxB"

but i completely agree about piers being able to edit whatever he wants...thats why you play hardball on every question, not just the later ones that he'll edit out...make him not air the interview because he didn't have any decent questions that you couldn't answer

How many of you have given an on-camera interview, and how many of you have experience with editing interviews? Because delivering your point in that type of a situation is more difficult than it seems, especially in a hostile environment. I'm not saying he is a genius, but it is completely plausible that the rest of the interview was better than what was shown on the air.

the only on camera "interview" i've given in the last 10 years was a little 5 second blurb on a news station where i was an eye witness, nothing like what GxB went through

but if i had known i would be on a CNN show, i think i wouldve prepared better, as well as disputed some of Morgan's bs questions

if i knew i would be nervous, i'd practice with a friend holding a camera in front of me and being a dick and asking me tough questions

you can call this post playing monday morning qb, but thats what i wouldve done

GxB probably doesnt care though, since his business has gotten free nationwide advertising

I, too, was hoping that with years of TDub experience, GxB would have done a much better job at trolling Piers. Also, if I was giving that interview, I would have incorporated every TWW reference i could sneak in there. It's was a great opportunity to step the game up from fucking with WRAL to playing at the national level.

Actually, it is not surprising that one of you amateurs here got completely boned by a pro. These are people that do this kind of stuff for a living. If it were so easy then you would all be doing it.

It's like when a budy of mine shocked me once while we were grading homeworks together.
