^^i don't know if you know about the platoon system but ulis gets major minutes. basically half of the pg minutes.

for example cauley stein only played 18 minutes today and he's the wooden award front runner.

its the only way cal can keep recruiting like this.

can't they get creative and come up with something like 4, 4 team divisions with double round robin and divisional records determine conference tournament byes with wild card byes for the next 4 best records?

Yeah hopefully their brutal 7 game stretch (except for Pitt) at the end of the season will bring them back to reality, but they will be at the top of the ACC standings for most of the year due to scheduling.

^^Came to post the same thing. Bracketology has Syracuse as a solid #11 but us as a play-in #11. I'm not saying Syracuse shouldn't be considered in, but I'd bet they only moved up because it would have been 3 ACC teams in the play-ins and therefore 2 would have to play each other.

It's not just how easy their ACC schedule has been so far, it's how little they've dominated any of them.

VT: Won by 2
GT: Won by 1 (and only scored 46 when GT is giving up an average of 63 points per game)
Wake: Won by 3, but had to go to overtime

Only solid win was 70-57 vs FSU.

seems like the divisions would just rotate randomly each year just like the schedule does now. i mean, we do this now but we just seed all of the teams straight up and there is no fairness. At least with divisions, you'd be competing for byes against teams with the same schedule and only basing the byes on those 6 games you share. then conference record for tiebreak, wildcard, etc

it probably doesn't really matter as long as miami doesn't completely fall off. they're 51 in RPI, 46 in kenpom. we're 41 in RPI, 43 in kenpom. so it's hardly a "bad loss" at this point, and won't be unless miami drastically falls off.
