This whole show would have made a much better 2 hour movie

There were so many good ideas, and really, really well-done fight choreography. Some of the best we've seen. But the pacing was just so wacky, and the flashbacks just made it worse when it might have been better off simply using linear storytelling.

The use of flashbacks even made no sense sometimes. I think it was the next to last episode (?) and we're under the pretext that Sol is the one telling the story (when he tells the twin to shut up and listen.) But all sorts of things happen in the flashback that he's not a part of, and the overall flashback doesn't seem to represent his POV at all. It's objective. There was no Rashomon pattern, like in Last Jedi, where we see different perceptions of the same event. It was just an episode set in the past.

Guess we'll never get an explanation of what exactly Ascension is or what the covens plan for the girls was? Or did I miss all that?

Also is that weird guy in the cave the top Sith lord, so one of the three have to die?

Spoiler: Weird guy in the cave eventually is killed by Palpatine, so maybe both of them will die.
