Fun to be 10th. Whatever the rest of the sends (maybe loads of fun or loads of disappointment). Polls at this point in the season are mostly silly (for example our ranking is off by 9 spots). But we’re 10th right now and that’s awesome!

^^ I would be surprised if it hasn't been mentioned, but this is a bigger game than a home game against SC State. IMO it's possible for it to be moved, but I'd be surprised if it did

^^^Lots of logisitics, Gameday is going to be there, its a 7:30 kickoff versus a noon kickoff for the USC game, Columbia is also further east than Clemson. Only thing that would make sense would be to move it to Sunday afternoon if you are truly trying to avoid weather. Moving it to Friday won't stop higher than usual winds from being present.

Starting to worry that when we inevitably beat Clemson on Saturday that the CFP committee may use the weather as a way to downgrade the quality of win. “It was a hurricane game, weird things happen in rainy and windy conditions, we just can’t put as much stock in that win for NC State. Which is why we slotted them at 5 this week and put 1 loss USC in with the fourth and final playoff spot”

#Sources tell me there are high-level discussions with officials from both schools and TV execs considering moving the game to Mercedes-Benz in Atlanta. Nothing firm yet -- just discussions -- but it's on the table. If it's anything like 2016, a hard and fast decision won't be made til Thursday

I seriously doubt they move the game to Atlanta. That would be a MASSIVE undertaking and a logistical nightmare for both teams, let alone any fans. Plus the Falcons play an early home game on Sunday so stadium cleanup/prep also becomes a nightmare.

Just keep thinking about this insane Atlanta notion. Like each school would have to find a hotel with rooms for 100+ players/coaches/support staff each on short notice on the weekend of an NFL game and also probably evacuees from Florida taking up rooms. That in and of itself is enough to make this plan a nonstarter. Add in how fast the turnaround would have to be to get the stadium ready for a 1:00 kickoff after a game that ends near midnight which means fans don't get cleared out until roughly 12 hours before the next kickoff. It's one thing to play a scheduled college game a day before an NFL game, you can schedule cleaning/grounds crews to make everything work. It's a whole nother animal to get all that set up in less than 3 days and there's no way the falcons say yes to this unless everything is up to par by early Sunday morning. Also, who is going to pay the sizable bill to rent the dome? The schools? The conference? ESPN?

This has the makings of a completely unfounded Twitter rumor.

I agree it seems crazy. Very possible it could be one of those "cover every option" sorts of things, where they had the meeting just so someone can point fingers later on down the line and absolve themselves of blame, but I trust the person who told me

I just don't see that happening at all. I'd see them playing earlier/later being a much more feasible option. This seems like the least probable outcome, mainly because the falcons play at home Sunday.
