Only way there is going to be a home playoff game Saturday is if we get home ice advantage, which is still possible despite last night. I would expect Philadelphia to hammer the Islanders, so that basically leaves it up to the Rangers beating them in regulation and us beating New Jersey.

Carolina (97 points, 45 wins)
Saturday at New Jersey

Pittsburgh (97 points, 44 wins)
Saturday at Montreal

Philadelphia (97 points, 43 wins)
Saturday at NY Islanders
Sunday vs. NY Rangers

The big thing is that the Penguins have the tie breaker over Philadelphia, so if the Flyers lose one of those two games we may end up with home ice advantage, but playing Pittsburgh.

Last night I met a Sabres fan who wasn't a douche bag I was amazed. We had great conversations about everything. He was not like the ones I've had to deal with for 3 years who are total assholes about everything. So though the game sucked it was nice not having to deal with Sabres fans trying to pick fights.

I also think this loss was a necessary one. They needed to get knocked back to earth after Tuesday's game and this winning streak. Better to get the loss out of the way now than next week, as that would be far more disappointing. I'm still pissed the woman got the Michael Ryan jersey in my section. My family has had season tickets for 9 years straight and still no jersey, and I've never seen her in my life. Fuck fuck fuckity fuck fuck fuck.

I think that if we resign Jokinen to a few year deal, I'm going to get a jersey that says VROOMVROOM for it.

While I would wager that the Canes have a better chance against the Devils, I personally don't want my two favorite teams to face each other in the first round. I want the Canes to do well or hell even win the Stanley Cup but I also want to watch Zach Parise play as long as possible. I am pretty pissed at how the Devils treated Scott Clemmenson since it is his stellar goaltending that they are even in the playoffs.
