LOL at that Greek guy who just kept talking shit to the Argentine players after his teammate hurt his back, even after the ref warned him not to like 6 times he just kept doing it.

this is why you don't chip a shot that close. cuz if you miss, you'll be regretting the line drive you opted not to take

because of the pathetic and arbitrary referring
because I feel like its not a sport for adults or even adolescents to participate in
because while it is athletic, i just dont see the skill, in fact i dont understand how trained soccer players can continue to miss the goal by 25 feet consistently or how they can just run past the ball as they are kicking it; also where is the skill in penalty kicking? I kick right or i kick left, maybe youll block to the right, or maybe youll block to the left...o no it doesnt matter dang it because i just missed the goal by 15 feet

BECAUSE USA AINT #1"

Greece is a disgrace. They didn't push AT ALL after going down 1-0 knowing full well they needed a win.

Can't wait for tomorrow; we better not disappoint. My hope is still the same as it was coming into this tournament: get through and avoid Germany in second round. After seeing how the brackets are coming out, I would love for both us and Germany to win our groups so that we end up in a side with Uruguay, South Korea, and Ghana vs something potentially like Germany, Argentina, and Mexico. But we'll see how it plays out tomorrow; obviously a lot of unknowns in both our group and Germany's group.

yea. I wish Argentina would have pushed a little harder even though they didn't need it, they could have won that 4-5 to nothing easy.

^i'd rather see mexico rather than uruguay.

but honestly, i think just getting to the round of 16 and putting up a good fight would be a good showing. and to get there without a loss in the group stage would be a huge improvement in US soccer, in my opinion. a quarter finals finish seems unlikely given the probability of playing germany or serbia, though

super worried about conceding an early goal tomorrow. i shouldn't be, considering they haven't scored yet, but i am.

same goes with the around the horn guys

the only consolation is that at least they are putting an honest effort into talking about it. 15 years ago, every talking head was just another jim rome when it came to soccer

agreed, but I see Argentina beating Mexico. But like I said, a lot of speculation at this point. Both our group and Germany's groups are completely up for grabs so it could be any number of combinations of teams advancing.

i doubt it. because then he would have to admit that he was wrong, which is impossible for pricks like him. even as the country increasingly becomes soccer friendly, he'll retain his niche following of soccer haters and hopefully slowly wither and die.
