I'm guessing that this witness has the absolute dirt on the only credible thing the prosecution has - the google maps search. Maybe the witness would have testified that the time stamp on the google map search was well after the time the prosecution claims - possibly even created during the FBI search?

Just speculation. If that's what they are after the defense would be better off calling the FBI analyst back in and cornering him on the time stamp.

Otherwise I can't imagine why the defense would care to show that Brad's wireless router could have been compromised.
