and just...UGH GEEZ. I'm excited for the new Christmases as this one has been pretty memorable thus far (except for THAT recent incident...geeeeeez!...) but I can't help it and miss the old ones. The ones w/ our family drop-ins (versus this family's), watching a Christmas Story marathon start w/ our family (instead of this one), and hell just having the four of us together (w/ or w/o significant others). Watching A Christmas Story again tonight for the umpteenth hundred time only made me miss one thing...my brother. And knowing I won't see him tomorrow or Saturday is just depressing. I'm really sick and tired of not spending any moment of a big holiday with my brother.

I'm just worried that he doesn't feel the same.

last night when i was mashing potatoes with my mom's potato masher that she got in her stocking LAST christmas and was really excited about and never got to use, i started crying in the potatoes.

so i went to her house to walk her dog today while she was at her sister's in laws for xmas dinner

we've been good friends for the couple of months post relationship. she left me for an ex who promised to change everything and, predictably, never did. she broke up with him a few of weeks ago for good. i still have feelings for her, but haven't said as much as she means a lot to me as a friend too.

when i went up to get the dog out of the crate in the bedroom, i noticed that a note i had written to her one day when we were dating and had left flowers at her place as a surprise was sitting on top on what little there was there...it was a relatively long one and included some very strong emotions and words

what do i make of it?
