^ha, you missed the plot twist. it goes back to hurley in the ward and it shows libby as a fellow patient taking pills and staring at him from across the room.
so what's the consensus here? assuming the island isn't a dream.. is libby an unstable mental patient obsessed with hurley? or a former patient who has since reformed? if the latter, has she simply forgotten that she knows hurley from the ward?

Anybody who thinks everything on the island is even possibly just a dream should probably stop watching the show, or at least stop talking about it. 4/6/2006 3:34:45 PM |

alias started going down hill because JJ started to focus on and milk the hell out of LOST
alias, like LOST, had a plot with a specific goal...they achieved that goal in the middle of season 2...thus they had to create new similar goals to keep the show on track...when it diverged from that in the 3rd season, people got mad...when they tried going back to what it used to be it started to suck more than people thought the 3rd season sucked...and then Ben Affleck came along...
Ben Affleck knocked up Jennifer Garner, she blimped up, and could no longer go on missions and kick ass
fucking Ben Affleck
the one thing alias has that makes it superior to LOST is the framework of an alias episode is better than the framework of a LOST episode. maybe that's just my personal preference though4/6/2006 5:06:00 PM |

Here's my theory: instead of fans watching the show and guessing what's going on (ie the button does nothing, the ballon that henry claimed he came in was part of a supplies dropoff, etc.) the writers make up a vague plot twist, wait and read the message boards, and then make their decision on what is going on based on what everyone is talking about. Sometimes they go for the theory.
This episode seemed like they were purposely trying to dispell some stuff they read on the internet. 4/6/2006 7:48:09 PM |

i'm wondering though if maybe libby wasn't in there because she was crazy but she was in there as a psychiatrist for a social experiment.....she was pretending to be crazy like them, take pills do whatever to get inside their mind....kind of their point of view on things without really having the "doctor" status.
either that or girl's been in so many psyche wards that she considers herself a doctor.
and by the way she was looking at Hurley while in the psyche ward, i guarantee she knows who Hurley is. i think this is why she was able to help Hurley when he was seeing Dave....she's seen how he acted in the ward when he had his little friend

maybe the writers are still playing with the audience by showing Libby at the end to keep alive the whole "Hurley is in a catatonic state" storyline..
if he saw her in the psyche ward then maybe he's transferring her to the island..
the same island which was in the picture in the shrink's office behind Hurley on the couch..
also, in the psyche ward, Libby has brown hair.. on the island she has blonde.. maybe it's another Hurley mind thing..
just an idear. 4/6/2006 10:35:25 PM |

1. Twins? Possibly. 2. It's not like a psychologist has never been in a psych hospital before. 3. I've said it before and I'll say it again: if you think that it all being in Hurley's head is an actual possibility, then I'm surprised you're smart enough to operate your TV. 4/7/2006 1:03:25 AM |

when the nurse gave her the medicine, she called her by her name, didn't she?
that would rule out the twin theory, unless they are twins with the same name. 4/7/2006 12:40:13 PM |

Additionally, in the Claire episode a couple of weeks ago, when she was sitting in the nursery, Ethan and Beard-Guy were talking out in the hallway about their commanding officer or whatever. Whoever they were talking about, he was much more in charge than either Ethan or Beard-Guy.4/7/2006 3:12:15 PM |

remember when hugo won the lottery.... he went to a beach/island looking for someone... i think all he found was the wife of the guy he was looking for lving in some hut....
does this relate/ tie in to anything from the last episode?

ohh wow.. 8 and 23.. and Hurley on the boat.
I get it.
From Season 1, Anyone remember the mural on the wall in the hatch, with the people looking up at the sun and there was a number (108) on the wall.. also if i remember correctly weren't these people screaming and on a boat?
weird.. I might just not be remembering correctly 4/7/2006 8:53:40 PM |

Henry Gale's story is disproven when Sayid reads the "letter" on the dollar bill from the real Henry Gale.
I was just curious: at any point does the faux Henry Gale reference his "dead wife" as Jennifer? Because that seemed liked exclusive information via the dollar bill considering the others had failed to read it. 4/8/2006 12:35:30 AM |
