playing a tournament tonight and we were down to the final 3 players
people had been drinking quite a bit (well not me)
and this chick was leaning on the table with her head in her hand
and vomit just started pouring out on the table, the cards, the chips, the floor

Tuesday morning 6 am.

Either I was a casual benefactor of a very intricate craps swindle at the tropicana $15 min bet craps tables or happened to have a major swing of luck with interesting surroundings a few hours before having to drive back to Raleigh. details soon.


to get a feel for how this trip went, lets say sunday night at 2am a buddy and i decided it would be a great idea to drive directly to atlantic city until tuesday.

yeah. no clothes, toothbrush, just cash.


What a fucking idiot i am.





dont really know if other gambling stories go here or not, but well give it a shot. lets just say after a completely awful night at other things, decided to take my last $500 to the craps tables with hopes of running it up. At this point, i have dropped close to four figures in the past day. This trip had the largest swings ive ever seen.

we first to to borgata for some 10am poker as soon as we get into town.

my table is wicked tight. i bought in for the max and had everyone at the table covered. I dont think it was a new table, there were only 2 1/2 nl tables going at the time.

stagnat, fold fold fold get bored decide to play every pot i can since no one is raising more than $6 preflop.

get bored missing flops start making some strong bets and chipping small pots down.

raise to $13 preflop with AQo UTG b/ci hate money, and due tot he fact that I had seen the last 15 or so hands to showdown with garbage, 6 people call me.

whiff the 8 high flop, I bet out $35, and three call.

turns another blank, i slow down and check then some heavy betting begins so i dump.

dont know if this was good or not for my image.

bored bored card dead, new player sits down with 300.

cant tell if hes a decent player or not, but definatley seems intimidated by the way the table is going. probably his first time in a casino playing poker. mid-30's seems fairly competant.

5c6c UTG, i limp for 2.

hes immediately to my left, he limps, 8 way limp for $2 each.

flop comes Ac Jc 6h.

sb/bb check, i check, guy to my left leads out for $15. 2 callers around to me, I pop it up to $65. at this time jonnySim walks up to my table and watches this hand. not sure if this effects my decision to make a move here or not.

I do this b/c i want to isolate against a hand like Ax or push out another club draw with my baby draw. I want AK/AQ, AT or something else comming for the ride, If i hit my hand its going to be nice. bettor is visibly confused by my bet, but after having trouble cutting out the stack, he calls. the button who called the 15 contemplates for a very long time and then finally folds. he was actually who i was the most concerned about, but I got my wish to go HU.

If he has what i think he has, im like a 50.1/49.9 to win this pot, with a decent amount of overlay in dead money. plus i like to keep a stong image, and if i showdown this hand with a winner, the table will fear me. i like this.

What is his calling range in that spot preflop? its not AA/JJ, maayyybe AJ, but well see a card.

i count out the rest of my stack, and put my chips in my hand like im going to call any bet he makes and beat him into the pot, like a i cant wait to get my chips in, jut in case he doesnt have an ace, hell probably check behind me here.

i check, he checks quicker than anyone ive ever seen. I dont want to show, and he flips 6d 6s.

I always seem to make moves into monsters after playing hours of solid poker. its my downfall and a huge leak i guess.

good way to start the trip.

table change to my buddies table, which he says is uber loose, and reload to the table max.

whiff a few flops with big face cards and middling pairs, drop a few calling preflop raises with marginal hands. then win a nice pot with 89o calling the resident contination bettors hand on an 8 high flop when he kept missing his AQ. miss some more flush draws, KK holds up agaisnt AT on a T high flop to stack a shorty, then go find the people i came with.

find my group pretending to play video poker at the bar for free drinks and inform them of a $5 min bet craps table (!!! at borgata no less) and we move on.

Paid the house the $100 I owed then sat down with $160. Busted when AKo hit top pair only to be drawn out by a flush. Borrowed another $160 and was up and down and up a down a bit. Key hand that gave me the confidence that I was ready to be back was a call with a small wired pair after someone missed their flush and bluffed on the river. Uphill from there. Nice flops and good calls. Cashed out ~$340 after giving back the $160.

Played the first of my HU thingy 2nite against Mike Q and got snapped off for $100. Played Boobs for $40 and squeaked out so im only down $60 Pretty good for 2 months not being here. Cant wait for the turney this week.
