PS, companies like NPD pay people like me the big bucks to forecast sales off of samples that aren't 100%...asking a blogger from kotaku to understand things like multivariate regression analysis is like asking you to understand...well the same thing i guess

You might get paid to make up individual stories for the other 40% of the people that you don't have sales numbers for, but in the end, unless you're polling each and every person and asking them what reason or reasons they have for buying something, you will never know the full story.

Case in point, I read some article about how MGS4 was such a system seller and how they had sold x million number of PS3s the same day it came out. Well, that's when I bought my PS3, I even bought the bundle with MGS4 packaged in, so guess what category I fell into. But did I buy a PS3 to play MGS4? Not at all. It just so happened that Sony held all the superior 80GB units around until the release of MGS4. So if you wanted an 80GB PS3, you had to get the one packaged with MGS4. So what does that mean for your precious numbers? To me it means they're useless. Congrats on getting paid for essentially making up some mumbo jumbo figures that nobody can prove one way or the other. I hear that there's good money in being a phone psychic too, but just because that job exists and people get paid to do it, that doesn't mean I believe a word they say.

I got into the Home beta. I was walking around and got near this guy standing and a guril sitting around blowing bubbles. Whoever was having trouble playing co-op Resistance 2, I've played it a few times with 2 players local playing online and haven't had any trouble with it. Just have to hit start button on the 2nd controller to have player 2 login.

Medics get 30 exp per heal so a good medic can get 40k+ per round. Also at max level the soldier and spec ops are both really powerful so you will at least double the damage of lower level people on the team.

R2 co-op is definitely a ton of fun, I maxed out a medic and a spec ops, working on soldier now. I hate playing soldier though because at lower level they are so weak and so dependent on ammo.

I'm surprised how nobody's mentioned how you can now watch full screen episodes of tv shows on flash sites like hulu.com and sling.com with the new firmware. That's a huge step up on the xbox 360, especially since everyone seems to be going apeshit over the netflix streaming that the 360 added recently.

Does anyone have problems with playback quality for flash videos? It seems to be worse in full screen mode. It is kind of shaky, similar to trying to stream videos on a really old computer that can't keep up. Is this a problem with the system/browser, or is this a connection issue?

I finally got around to updating my firmware last night and tried to watch the snl from a couple weeks ago that I missed on hulu. It was unwatchable, even not in full screen. The screen kept freezing up and it took me about 5 minutes just to pause the movie. It acted like an old computer where I'd move the mouse around and it would stay still for 30 seconds, then jump all around the screen "catching up". I was disappointed
