I'm not going to get back into the flame wars, but at least the XBLE has improved lobby making, chats, far faster interface, loading faster from hard drive loads, and an awesome steaming netflix service that works great.

So has anyone done this whole japanese namco demo thing yet? It's supposed to get you an arcade game in your apartment within home (whatever that means). I managed to get a japanese psn account and download the demo but I can't find instructions about what you have to do then to win the stuff. They keep deleting all the threads over on playstation.com that tell you what to do.

that's a pretty accurate analysis. Microsoft has continued to throw tons of money at the Xbox in grabbing exclusive content, and taking exclusives away from the PS3. I got a PS3 because I wanted a console plus the Blu-ray player, which is a much better bargain if you use the Blu-ray.

Depends on what you want to do. I think the party system is a lot better on Live. With PSN you have to make the parties in the guide by sending invites in game, etc.
To me I just like to play online and online plays fine on PS3 and its free so I'm happy with it.

Plus PS3 doesn't use proprietary technologies. You can use any bluetooth device, upgrade with any 2.5" HDD, and I personally think Burnout looks much better on PS3 than on 360. Plus if you're cheap like me, you can put over 100GB of free demos on there to entertain yourself. Works great if you only have a few hours a week to put into gaming. Also it's not too hard to install Linux on there and pack it full of emulators... I'm guessing that will be the best contribution of the keyboard attachment for the controllers if they're compatible.

Does the 360 support DLNA for streaming music over WiFi like PS3 does?

alright, lets talk audio/bluray set up...

i have onkyo tx-sr606 receiver...i seem to see mixed opinions on having ps3 decode audio (pcm) instead of using bitstream to let the onkyo decode audio...pcm shows up as multichannel on the receiver and bitstream actually shows it as dolby true-hd...i hear its one in the same, but i swear multichannel doesnt sound as good and its quieter

what about rgb and superwhite video settings? have a dlp projection hdtv

The only difference is what's doing the decoding. In theory, it should be the same.

I just got a PS3 and have been trying to get things set up. Every time I watch something on Hulu, if I pause it, it won't start again. The browser and everything else freezes. I can still move the cursor and pull up the browser menu, but I can't select any options or click on anything. It lets me quit the browser, but then the rest of the PS3 becomes unresponsive and the only thing I can do is use the PS button on the controller to shut the system down.

Has anyone else dealt with this? Is it a known issue with flash-based video sites?
