^^ DID YOU GO THRough the process of setting up your pac as a media extender with the 8 digit code? do you have media center on your pc?

Yeah I downloaded and installed media center and I went and installed the Xbox extender thing too. I enter the 8 digit code from my Xbox but then it says that either nothing can be found (I tried it both with connecting directly to my PC and through a router) or a firewall is blocking it. I disabled my firewall and it says the same thing. When I try and test my network settings for media connect, it fails at the "PC select" thing. I tried calling into Xbox customer support with it but they were useless, I'm surprised they even know what an Xbox was.

Yeah maybe it is just my computer or something. What process did you use to set it up? Did you enable sharing on Windows Media Player, then go through the steps on the Media Center Extender?

It's not really a big deal anyway, I have my TV close enough to my computer that I can just run a VGA cable to it and use it as a second monitor.

You can use Windows Media Connect or Windows Media Player 11. However, I also had trouble getting my 360 to notice computers behind a switch.

Like, if the computer and 360 are on the same side of the switch, it's fine.
If I go 360 -> Switch -> Router -> Computer, it's fine.
But 360 -> Router -> Switch -> Computer, doesn't work.

Now, my problem could be due to an issue with the wireless bridging I'm doing, but you may want to try rerouting your network that way if possible and giving it a try.

i believe i set up everything correctly in wmp11 since it shows the xbox listed and is set to share media

but i haven't entered the 8 number code anywhere so i must be missing something

Are you trying to access your media through the "media blade" on the 360, or are you trying to use the "Media Center button"? Media Center will not work with XP Pro; and there is no need to enter a code when using the media blade method, just make sure your sharing through WMP11.

Uhmm.. even when the free stuff absolutely sucks and is not even worth the download? And it wasn't exactly free, it is more compensation for the service we pay for absolutely sucking and not working properly. It is an annoyance to get something for free, then having to realize it is not even worth having. That is like not complaining about people handing out religious pamphlets or coupons to food you will never eat... Free or not, they might as well be asking you to throw it in the trash for them. Same with this game, but worse because they offered it as compensation.

I played through 4 long Sabotage rounds last night where one guy was non-stop droning out racial slurs. It had to have been about a good 30 minute rant of one right after another. You'd think he'd get tired or thirsty after about 5-10 minutes or so, but no.
