My brother plays craps. He's tried explaining it to me a few times, but I am really just not a gambler at heart and can't pay attention long enough to figure out what all the terms even mean, let alone how to play well.

^ What's the premise of the game again? I haven't played in a looong time and just said it's like Uno because I know there are cards with numbers

i mean there's an easy way to play that's relatively low risk and fun

just place the minimum bet on the pass line on the comeout roll, if he craps out you lose, if he hits a 7 you win 1:1, or the point is made.

back up your passline bet for even odds, and wait.

if he hits the number you win 1:1 on your passline bet and even odds on your odds bet.

that's it

just make sure you put the right amount on your odds bets to get full dollar paybacks so you dont lose equity, ie if it's a $5 table, put increments of $5 for the 4, 5,9,10 and $7 for the 6 and 8

I too have one

but mine is intentionally designed for ultra-high variance, and like a one shot deal.

it's either turn 100->500+ or 0 in 15 minutes.

but i rationalize it out with going bust with a short buy eliminates a lot of the standard deviation bell curve. i know its pretty sweetly -ev but w/e, it's gambling.

it's worked pretty well for me... out of the 6 tries, bust 4 times (-$400) and $1300, $800. for a positive net...

but even that was pretty lucky.

it gets kinda pricey if it's a $10 table...

on the comeout, $5 horn hi-yo, $10 pass line bet.

horn hi-yo is a protection bet for the passline cover. essentailly it's a $1 bet on all the craps, plus $1 heavy on the "yo" which is 11.

point is made, place bets on all numbers across the board, $10 on 4,5,9,10, $12 on 6,8, except the point of course.

2x$10/12/13 odds bet on the pass line bet depending on the point.

$10 come bet, no horn hi-yo protection.

if a number is made, i push the payment for the place bet and the place bet itself to 2xodds on the come bet, place another $10 come bet.

another point is made, do the same.

if the come bet hits, go up and down, where the same bet is made with 2x odds on the come, but the payment for making the previous come bet is returned as profit.

do this till a 7 is rolled or you hit your target and turn everything off you can, which entails comming down on all your come bet odds (the actual bet has to stay), all your remaining places turn off, no more come bets, and pull your odds on your pass line bet.

then as you're couting up, see if you win those remaining bets, then walk away with a purple chip (or more) or $100 (or w/e) lighter.
