Funny thing is VCU was one of the last teams in the NCAA tournament. It was a gift they even made the tourney over Alabama, VTech, and Colorado. Wichita State's resume was equal to VCU's. VCU was higher in RPI, WSU in Pomeroy. If WSU made it, they could have possibly made a run as well you never know. They are proving their worth in the NIT as well. I don't see how you all can't see this. When was the last time NCSU beat a power conference team that won 20+ games by 30?

if we do fall back to smart i can see 3 immediate things changing at NCSU:

1.) our current players will all come back (for sure) as they will want to play for this super hyped coach

2.) our recruiting gets a major boost, just from the "buzz" he's created and his present NCAAT run

3.) our players will be in shape and compete for 40 minutes; not 30/25/ or even 20 minutes

and lastly; if CJL tosses up a bunch of shitty 3's and makes dumb plays...he's ass in on the bench...and you can believe shaka will light a fire under his ass. he will be there standing in huddle listening to what coach has to say.

he will not be staring off into space not paying attention like he typically does.

one thing on our side, is football is king there. he's already gotten 2 NC's w/ FL and doesn't get much love.

maybe he feel's he will be much more appreciated here. there is a passoniate fan base dying for something to cheer for. and as a coach, how is it not your dream to compete against two of the nations most storied programs, and be a part of a program that has roots and had an intrigal part in the inception of the ACC.

I don't want to have a let down either, but i'm not just going to write this off. we've made the offer, it's our 1st offer to anyone, and we're throwing a shitload of money at him.

WSU making a run? Marshall has been to the tournament 7 times and won a grand total of 1 fucking game. I really really doubt he would have suddenly made a run.

They beat a "power conference" team (pac 10 was a shitty shitty conference this year) who had their only viable scoring option in foul trouble the entire night.

Earlier in this thread you admitted to Turgeon starting to build a program at Wichita State. After he left what happened? Did Marshall continue building on his success? Nope he sucked a big fat cock while he implemented his system of boring ass conservative set plays (a fucking 3 on 1 situation after a turnover last night and the players just sat there so they could run a set goddamn play).

Marshall is an amalgam of almost everything that people disliked about Lowe and Sendek.
